Finnish power-samba group STRATOVARIUS sold two copies of their new ELYSIUM musical South-brazilian journey in the Antarctic, said the Garlic press. They expect to sell three more in 2011 to get their greedy hands on the annual Ice-musicprize, sponsored by the Polar Shrew Association (PSA). Last year, HinataArctica won the prize for her interpretation of "Tetris - A retrospective" in the Igloo music hall in the Britain Base of Antarctica, accompanied by the mighty bear-growling sound of NeonVomit and Robocop on drums. I got the limited Edition (with vinyl). They sent me a message on the start of February saying it should be available some time this month.

They haven't charged me yet, but I am growing impatient. :pissed2:

I got the limited edition from record shop x, took 5 days from finnish release so i got it about Jan 17 or so. Then decided to grab the version with the non-mp3 demo tracks from amazon when i was buying some other stuff, took them about 2 weeks to ship it.

Actually, I don't think different positions in different weeks can be compared with each other. One album get a higher position in a certain week, but it doesn't mean the album sells more than another album which get a lower position in another week. The rank position is relative, not some kind of sales number.

I'm not saying Elyiusm sold better in Japan or In Paradiusm did so, I don't know the exact number of the sales for each album so I can't judge it. All I can say is both albums are great and the sale positions they got in Japan and Finland satisfied me at least.

For the sake of comparison since it seems so popular, Symfonia's debut exceeded Elysium in Japan for example easily.

Yeah, I totally understand it. If there were sales figures about those records, I would be glad to know. I'm very interested in info about strato (and related bands) records. Maybe we need some friends in records companies, haha.
