I've come to think it is. The last song itself is a masterpiece, but the whole album seems to get better everytime I listen to it again.

It's like Iron maiden seventh son of a seventh son, it just grows on you more and more

It's an excellent album, and certainly one of the most distinctive and accomplished, but Episode is one of the best albums in the history of Power Metal, and I really don't see Elysium on that same playing field

Slightly above average (by Strato standards). Episode, Elements 1&2, and Destiny are better.

Tolkki was really something else, at the peak of his creativity.

No. For me is one of their best, it is in the top 4 or 5, as a whole album, but not the best. The best for me with difference is Episode. Episode is a jewel.

Anyway, Elysium is a fantastic album and shows what the new line-up can do.

Fourth dimension&Dreamspace.These albums are the best for me. But concerning metalhistory Episode and Visions will forever remain "black diamonds of "power". Elysium I would put on level below Elements pt1. Its wonderful album, but a vocal could be moooore better

It can easily fit as number 2. Infinite is my favorite. Episode goes third.

Visions is still better, but Elysium is no doubt one of the top StratoAlbums.

I still say the more you listen to it the more it grows on you, I used to think it was just a really good album, now I think it's legendary.

my favorite album is elements pt 2 , but i think Elysium is one of the best strato albums , its a very powerful album for sure

It's very good, but my fav Strato album is VISIONS.

I had the opposite experience. I think my initial excitement was just from having a new Strato album and now that I listen to it more and more, I think it's just ok. Don't get me wrong, the guys are all great musicians and I prefer to have more music from them, but the album is a bit too dreary in my opinion. I dislike almost all the lyrics except for Move the Mountain, Fairness Justified was unmemorable, the intro to Lifetime in a Moment is too long and I hate the robot voice bridge thing into the weird bend solo, the song Elysium just seemed too jumbled and choppy to me...I liked the fun Helloween/Paradise kind of fun vibe on Game Never Ends, Jens' solo on the track Elysium, the trade off solos on Infernal and Event Horizon were cool, Move the Mountain captured the Strato spirit and the composition is enough to definitely move anything...Elysium is unique in it's own respect, but I think I'd rank it somewhere in the middle of the Strato discography.

Nothing will top Episode, ever. It remains one of the top power metal albums of all time, if not the best.

Elysium is one of their best, though, in my opinion. It would be better if some of the lyrics were a little better (The Game Never Ends) and if Lifetime In A Moment didn't have an unnecessarily long intro.

It's definitely in the top, though. I'd say #4, behind Episode, Visions, and Infinite.

I actually love Lifetime In a Moment's super long intro ... there's so much mystic to it.

So far 37% have voted yes. That means a lot. The songs I've heard so far (4-5) are really haunting.

I might be the ONLY one but my favorite album is «STRATOVARIUS». That album came out in a specific time in my life so I have a lot of feelings attached to it.

When I'll finally have the «ELYSIUM» CD in my hand (it should be in 2-3 weeks), I'll give it a big try. So who knows??

It is kind of funny but all the things I hear that were not liked in the album are all the things I thought were kind of cool.

No, seriously. It's among their best ones surely, but I don't think it's THE best one. Maybe on the 3rd or 4th place.

It's still in my top 3 and I think it's an awesome album, to all the haters I'd simply say "why haven't you stopped listening to them yet?"

Yes, it is the best album of the band.

Had they waited, and combined material from Polaris and Elysium, they would have had the best strato album ever

I personally liked them both, I just think with Elysium they took what they did with Polaris a step further, I can't wait to see what the next album will sound like

Elysium is a good album but I think that Infinite and Element Pt.1 are just better.
