Not sure, all I can say is that at this point I wouldn't be surprised if giant green smurfs started flying from people's rooftops because at this point very little surprises me

TT posted on the Finnish "Imperiumi" forum, stating he's fine and not hospitalized. He also said the cancellation of the show is because he's busy recording an album.

I agree, Lassila back to Stratovarius. The quality of their music started to drop when he was kicked by Tolkki.

I don't fully agree, as I think the peak of Stratovarius was in 1996-1997. But I do think the first 4 albums had a more unique sound. From Episode on their sound became more generic.

That said, Lassila was kicked because of lack of devotion caused by musical differencies. According to Tolkki, Lassila was no longer into heavy metal at all. So maybe Stratovarius with Lassila being responsible for the direction of the music wouldn't have been that much of a great idea. Perhaps we'd gotten "a Chameleon" instead of Episode.

The two albums immediately following his dismissal from the band were two of the best albums in the history of the genre. Maybe what Stratovarius REALLY needs to do is FIRE LASILLA.

(Or recognize that if anyone had anything to do with the Twilight Time/Dreamspace sound, it was probably Antti Ikonen, especially judging from his improvs in live shows)

True, even though Antti Ikonen was never credited for any song (unlike Lassila) he, as the keyboardist, probably had bigger influence on the sound of the early albums than Lassila.

By the way, I think Chameleon actually is a good album. At least if you pretend it doesn't say "Helloween" on the album cover.
