Here`s what I just find on Timo`s facebook, I try to translate it in eglish here, as best as I can.Damn it would be great to participate in this event, but I`m afraid that I dont have money to this

2-day Guitarseminar
"guitar beyond Infinity" In april at Helsinki. Limited turnout. In seminar we deal with guitar playing and music comprehensively. Seminar costs 600e/1-person and from that 100e prepaymen. I have keep this seminar before in Europe and in South America hundreds of times. For more info :

what the fuck? 600 euros for a 2 day seminar that can be viewed in youtube? the guitar is included in the price I guess

16 hours of footage on youtube with personal questions being answered? i doubt that.

600e is surely a lot. It's true that Timo is a great guitarist but here in Hungary you could get lessons for a whole year for that much money and from decent teachers.

600e is surely a lot. It's true that Timo is a great guitarist but here in Hungary you could get lessons for a whole year for that much money and from decent teachers.
how are these teachers making a living?
that's about 15 dollars a lesson if that's 52 in a year, at least in America that would not be very livable at all

Costs are different here in Hungary and actually they have a "normal" job and are teaching as a hobby.

Most teachers teach about 5-6 lessons a day. So if they work 4 days a week, combined with some gigs in the evenings, that's a living that's decent enough.

what are school teachers making in hungry? here the school teachers make more than 20 a hour plus thousands of dollars of benefits and a decent pension and there are always these initiatives to pay the teachers more.

School teachers aren't paid well either. Something between 90-130thousand HUF. So around 1000$...
Of course the country is a bit cheaper to live in, but not that much cheaper. As a technical specialist though you can earn good enough money though.
