Stratovarius Nemesis World Tour Setlist

Post by Shogakat » Sat Mar 09, 2013 2:23 am

This seems to be the first one. I like it!

Abandon
Speed of Light
Under Flaming Skies
Eternity
Deep Unknown
Will the Sun Rise?
Fantasy
Distant Skies
Stand My Ground

Dragons
Drum Solo
Father Time
Halcyon Days
Destiny
Black Diamond

Encore:
Unbreakable
Hunting High and Low

In black new songs
The editor does not knwo exactly if Freedom was the first or second song of the setlist. In other words, could not be the opener.

Freedom is in there? That's an interesting touch. There's no other post-Destiny songs in there other than Hunting. A shame, I'd at least want to hear more of the Polaris-Elysium stuff.

EDIT: Oh wait didn't see Under Flaming Skies.

^ yeah, seems that Timo had his problems with the pitch in Halcyon Days, and of course with some of the new lyrics, but all the rest - fucking hell! are the new songs great live songs  I love the heavier touch in Fantasy live version, and Stand My Ground - oh WOW!! I so can't wait to see them!!

Only thing that sucks is that they won't have the time to play all these songs above because of the double headlining  I hope they will change some of the older and newer songs from show to show, so that chances are good that I get to see all of the new songs during the eight German shows

Timo was interwieved in TV last morning, and he told that he had not fully recovered from flue. In consert I noticed that he seemed to purposely avoid for highest notes. He also said after consert that he hopes he is in better tune when they return to tour in Finland in april.

Otherwise the atmosphere in consert was great.

Well, Stand My Ground and Unbreakable were the highlights! Very well played and sung. Anyway, on the other hand there's a horrible "Halcyon Days" out of tune and out of rythm from the beginning 'til the end; Perhaps one of the best tracks of Nemesis lacks a lot live due to the vocals and for leaving the orchestration out of the song.

Finally Fantasy looks cool, the sound of the keyboards gives something specal to this song, and it seems that will replace songs like Paradise perfectly. Kotipelto was out of rythm on some parts too, and it's strange because in the videos Rolf marks the tempo really well.

Eagleheart gets out of the setlist, and Phoenix too. Good setlist though I miss Infernal Maze and Winter Skies which gives me very good feelings.

Funny fact, I found a live version of Halcyon Days, and what happened there was that while the band played the song one semitone lower than the album version, TK sang it in the original key! Haha! Hope they will play the song in the original key from now on cause TK doesn't seem to have problems with hitting the notes. Depends on live possibility for the band of course.

Unbreakable live sounds incredible. It's a pity that I won't be able to come to any of their shows any time soon. And I agree with Shogakat, Halcyon Days was not good. It has never seemed like a good live song, though.
Hope those guys will upload Dragons too.

Yeah, I'm waiting for Dragons too! Will The Sun Rise is already up, so I hope we won't have to wait too long :)

I wouldn't say that Halcyon Days isn't a good live song in such an early stage, I think it worked pretty well, except the tuning of course  To me it seemed he also had some issues with his in-ears or something - I know he fumbles around with them regularly, but in those vids he seems to do it more often than usual.

I hope he recovers totally from this flu or what it was, he's not yet up in peak form.

Cam for Rolf Pilve on Abandon! This is a Pilve clip but you can hear Abandon sounding too.

This guy is a beast, anyway of course Timo is vocally tired at the end of the show! He does the lead vocals, the backing vocals, all the stuff in abandon!

Abandon sounds cool! Can't wait to see a regular video. Father Time is not my cup of tea anymore. Too high for TK. Would love them to replace it with a newer fast one. Blind for example.

Well intro+ Abandon + Speed Of Light in a better quality. Pretty well played! :)

About the intro... The Jörg Farewell Tour one was magical, It was impressive! This one is good but, hell the last one was extracts of songs of every album mixed perfectly!

It changes to see on the setlist some songs from Polaris and Nemesis played live. If only i could hear them live for real, but not this time unfortunatelly...
