A lot of people are huge fans of Timo Tolkki, so we decided to pledge for his new project Credo signed with our names on the "thanks" section, which was managed by My Pledge Music.

As he changed his project to Avalon, we were promised to receive the Avalon CD instead.

We have never received anything, yet we haven't been refunded our money.

This is fraud, and this is illegal.

I hope you never trust a company, My Pledge Music, who make this kind of operations.

They said "we shipped the cds", which is a lie, because no person has received anything.

I hope something can be done to keep this fraud from happening again.

Tolkki is finally involving and offering a full refund (so public [and private] bitching actually do work).

Well, it's what he must do, so I suppose in the end you can trust My Pledge Music and Timo Tolkki, but we have been a year and a half carrying this issue, so it's normal we felt defrauded.

I dare to think you would have felt the same way, although you may deny it.

So i correct my advise, from "don't trust My Pledge Music" to "if you're not listened, complain until you are".

pledgemusic refunded the money quickly, just wrote a mail...
also, i never had problems with other projects on pledgemusic...

that reminds me of back in the day when I used to go on IRC (it's an internet chat system full of nerds and geeks). I would go in a room seeking help about something, and immediately get trolled by a bunch of regulars in the chatroom.
