ETERNAL to be released August 14th

Well he did Cain's Offering just a while back, he's work on the new Stratovarius album and touring starts soon. Maybe he's worn out.

Why is Jani not the second guitarist in Stratovarius?

I understand Stratovarius's history of having just one guitarist. But Jani has worked with Timo for so many years - even going back to when Timo guested on Silence - and has written so many songs with him, some of which are on the newer Stratovarius albums, and there are apparently 3 on Eternal which he co-wrote with Timo... why not just invite Jani into the band?! Another live guitarist would thicken up the solos by allowing rhythm guitar to pick up where the lead begins to solo.

No matter, Stratovarius and Jani are awesome as they are now. But it seems like he should just join the band at this point!

I agree! He's done so much work with Timo, and the stuff he did for the Nemesis album was pretty amazing. And as far as I know, Jani isn't really doing too much work as of late (except all that acoustic stuff). I don't see why he shouldn't join.

Why? Stratovarius don't need another guitarist. Matias is enough and more. Limatainen seems to not work so well with Sonata so why disturb Stratovarius? And is he the reason for TK 's outburning?

I'd love a second guitar for live performances. Some performances sound really hollow these days. For example the intro of Eagleheart. Back in the day Tolkki used to play rhythm guitars while Jens would play the intro melody. These days the turned that around. Matias plays the melody and Jens plays some stringsound chords. Sounds really empty to me. In that part a rhythm guitar would spice everything up.

They should all tell us how shitty the album is so our standards are really low, then we all end up loving it because it exceeds our expectations.

Kinda like what Timo Tolkki does but in reverse.

I wonder if this album will contain an instrumental. There hasn't been a Stratovarius instrumental track since Elements Pt. 1, if I'm not mistaken.
