I recently learned that Timo Kotipelto and the Tampere Filharmonia (Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra) performed an epic performance of Forever in early 2015 and that a video of the performance is available on the Internet:

There have been many excellent renditions of Forever, but among them all, this has become my favorite.

While the instrumentation of the original release of Forever on Episode has an emphasis on classical strings, the Tampere Filharmonia adds much to this instrumentation focus with far greater depth of classical instrumentation sound.

He played some other songs with the orchestra as well. They're all on youtube. Nice performances.

I don't understand why they played Forever one key higher than the original though. Makes TK sounds a bit too forced in the chorus.

They did some other songs for the New Year's, I think that's what it is.

They did Burning Heart and All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera
