I look at this as a very promising sign. They were planning to do only a set number of contracted shows--now, the band is doing more--which, IMO, might mean they are all more comforable being&playing the music with each other. Maybe it means they all are on better terms with each other.
This is good! Whether or not Koti returns to Stato remains to be seen, but this is a step in right direction&at least, it appears they are getting along.

yes, I agree with you, but I don't want to hope too much for nothing : better to think Kotipelto won't return and have a good surprise afterwards. but youre right, it could go worse :)
Anyway, as long as they're still playing, we should support them and go to their concerts !!
(btw browneyedgirl ive read lots of posts of yours -which are... numerous :D - that you were living in the USA and that you couldnt see them : that's a shame... I guess they have loads of fans there, haven't they?)

USA has quite alot of StratoFans--not as many a Europe, of course, but plenty enough to sustain a Concert,or Tour. I have not given up hope yet! :)

Yes, the United States would be able to support a fanbase in most major metro areas.

Heck, half of Americans go to concerts just go listen to music and get drunk =P

For several bad reasons, it suddently hit me that I won't be there in Czeh. So, I bless all the whatevers that I still have a change to see them in Sweden! Carrying the shirt from Tavastia...

You Europeans are lucky to have such a wide variety of music in your continent! :)[/quote]

Hi Brownie, yesyesyes I'm gonna see the show in Sweden, of course. But, there's one gig of a different band that we here in Europe have been waiting for decades, and that's been available in America. So, we are in the same level if we think all the bands in the world...

What American band is that?

Most USA bands travel&play abroad now. I just cannot think who it could probably be.???

Not American, Canadian. And a trio, selling millions of albums but not singles. Want to guess or a direct answer?

So I was at the Gates Of Metal yesterday and thought I would give a little review of the Strato show.. The set was this(not in any order):
Walk to my own wong
Speed of light
Kiss of judas
Reign of terror
Distant skies
against the wind
Hunting high and low
Black Diamond
Destiny

That's about it.. I may have forgotten one or two songs.
There was one song where Tolkki played the acustic guitar and Kotipelto sang.. I had never heard the song before and to Kotipelto it was a surprisesong.. they shook hands after the song btw..

The concert was awsome.. Tolkki had minor problems with his guitarvolume but it got fixed on the most important parts of the songs.. the solos ;)
I was just in front of Tolkki in the front row :)

In the end there was the usual "yy kaa koo nee" and the all bowed and left the stage..

This was the second time I saw Strato live.. I hope it wasn't the last..

I heard from a guy that the biggest moment at Gates of metal was when Strato should have been played Forever but instead they played beauty has come. Kotipelto dident know this so he went suprised, Tolkki did a really great job on this song, and after he shaked hand with Kotipelto. Probably this is a way to apologize for everything

well done Timo Tolkki you are amazing!!

Yeah, like I said in another thread, Kotipelto said something like "I seems like Tolkki has a surprise for me" and the Tolkki started to play Beauty has Come. Imagine the feeling under that song! Great lights, sounds and song. Afterwards, they shook hands. =)

Here is a pic from that song (not a good one, had to raise the light very much so pardon the bad quality) Image . Hopefully i will put up more (better) pics somewhere soon =)
