My Top 3 Albums:
Visions - A nostalgic feel to it. Great classics.

Elements Part 2 - I know most people don't like the newer Stratovarius album but I think Elements Pt. 2 was AWESOME.

Destiny - So close to the visions era it has got to be good

My Top 3 Songs:

Black Diamond - Amazing solo's and keyboard/guitar together.

Legions (live) - Always just liked it, its hard to explain.

Glory of the World - Jens' Masterpeice, nice keyboard part

Albums :

Visions : Nothing to say, it's OUTSTANDING.

Infinite : I love the cover artwork, and it has some grat StratoClassics.

Dreamspace : Tolkki's voice kicks ass


Songs :

Black Diamond : The song itself is damn good, and the video is awesome too.

Eagleheart : For the drumming especially. Being a drummer myself, I enjoy playing this one a lot, it's not damn too hard like Find Yout Own Voice for ex.

Eternity : First StratoSong I ever heard, and still one of my favs.

Can someone link me to Stratovarius music video things? In particular Black Diamond? I tried the one at the site and it didn't load in windows media player for me (but I could watch other AVI's like the one in OT with Anders playing the harmonica).

Try right-clicking on the link and choose "Save target as"

That's weird :/ When I go to the Videos page, the DOWNLOAD link points to the actual video, not to some HTML-thing

I could tell you every Strato-albums in order now, cuz I have listened those so much.
But, well, here's top3:
1. Visions
2. Episode
3. Dreamspace
then comes Destiny, Fourth Dimension, Elements Pt. 2 ...etc.

And songs... this is quite harder. Strato have so many unbelievable songs! But maybe this is top3:

Best 3 stratosongs.... I don't know. I choose 3 now but they can change:

- Black Diamond
- Visions (southern cross)
- Father Time & Destiny

-Fourth Dimension (interesting combination of TK'voice, and Toumo's drums), or perhaps Fright Night?

Of course, here goes... ALBUMS:

1- VISIONS - I don't know why, but I put this album here. I really can't decide between this and Episode. Great songs from 1 to 10, full of classics, great production, superb performance... The best metal album ever imo.
2- EPISODE - Thats the other great of the greats. All are great songs, no boring, superb sound, performance and production, cracking start from father time and pretty nice end with Forever.
3- DESTINY - Thought this is the third, its very far from the second and first.
The quality of the others lasts on the song Destiny, but some other songs aren't as great as before and it was getting a little repetitive.

SONGS:

1- BLACK DIAMOND - I was terribily shocked first time i heard it, I thought... "will you ever find something as perfect as this?"
Great in all spects.. Tolkki will definately do nothing more as good as BD.

2- FATHER TIME - The best cracking strato-song. Great fast riffs, superb keys, drums & bass. And Kotipelto is at 100% here!

3- Can't choose between DESTINY and VISIONS. Both are 10-minute masterpieces, from 1 second to 10 minutes. They show how good can be a band, playing form that much with no error. Both have slow parts and fast parts.

Definitely a very good choice!!! Very similar to mine!!
But Visions song is a little better in my opinion than Destiny, which is perfect but I don't like Tolkki's solo part!!

favourite albums:

1.) VISIONS - of course, hell, it's one of the best albums EVER, not only of this band or its genre. Outstanding, awsome songwriting, great soundbalance, and an unreached atmosphere (created by the choirs e.g.)!!!
2.) EPISODE - Different, but almost as great as Visions. Has got a more "philosophical" touch, lyrics are better than on Visions, but not the music. Nevertheless a great piece of music!!!
3.) INFINITE - just a little bit better than E2, my Nr.4. More mainstream, but still very good rock music, a bombastical epic, and full of very positive energy!

favourite songs:

1.)Against the Wind - THE BEST SONG EVER!!! No other song has such a powerful beginning, such great lyrics and such a wonderful and catchy refrain melody line!! The first Strato-song I heard, and it's the best song of all times imo. Sound could be better nowadays, but I don't care. Powerful, encouraging masterpiece!!!!!!
[only AtW is always number 1 for me, the others are changing from time to time ]
2.)Night Time Eclipse - a fantastic, a very beautiful song!! Kind of progressive mixture between ballad and midtempo. This one always gets me melancholic. Sooooo nice.
3.)The Kiss of Judas - WOW!!!! An outstanding song, I find no other one to compare with, it's so special. Great atmosphere, unbelievable songwriting - absolutely fantastic opener for their best album.
[2 and 3 could change with Visions, Father Time, Coming Home, Holy Light, Chasing Shadows, ...]
