What´s the use of poLLs (thanks to HvyMtlClickWitch ) if you don´t use them!
This question has been made before, but not as a poll mode!
So, which of Stratovarius´ albums do you prefer?
Which one is for you their greatest accomplishment?
I didn´t put the Chosen Ones ´cause it ain´t fair...
Which one defines them?
Vote, vote and vote!!!
(sorry!! )

Re: Which Stratoalbum is for you the best?
Episode, 'cause it was the first Strato-album that I listened to, and it still holds a special place in my heart
This album is also one of the main reasons why I got into power metal in the first place.

VISIONS, because it was when Strato hit the big time--world tours commenced&album sales soared. VISIONS was the great defining moment for Strato,
But there were other defining moments, too.....DREAMSPACE, when the band left the boundaries of Home&toured abroad in Japan. Then, 4th Dimension, when Koti took over as frontman.
I love all StratoAlbums, so this is a tough question to answer objectively.
But, VISIONS does have the best StratoSong--Black Diamond!

Same here. But for me, Destiny is The Song. But the best album is Visions, no doubt. If you want to show someone, what is stratometal, then show him/her the album Visions, and the song Destiny.LittleHarry wrote:visions....it has no bad songs on it...masterpiece is substituted by masterpiece...AND TEHRE IS BLACK DIAMOND!
Re: Which Stratoalbum is for you the best?
For me it´s Destiny.
Visions is absolute a damn good album with great Varius-classics,
but
I think Destiny has the best Melodic/Power-Metal and classical Elements

Episode, Visions and Dreamspace... in this order... the newer cds.. arent that great (atleast for me).. well Destiny and Elements 1 were quite ok though...

Re: Which Stratoalbum is for you the best?
Visions.. definitely THE best album by any band of any genre at any time.
Every song is a classic by itself, I would have paid the cd price for just the title song.
Absolutely stunning, songwriting just can't really get any better. I listen to it every day.

Re: Which Stratoalbum is for you the best?
The first I heard was Infinite, but alsthough I love it and it is special because it was the first, I think that the Elements are better.
Of the earlier ones I love Dreamspace and Episode most, though all have their own special mood.
Over time I've got burnt out on the "setlist greats" - like Black Diamond, Kiss of Judas, and the more commercial ones. I'd love another DVD without the standard setlist songs, NO repeated songs from Infinite Visions.
So I voted E2 - as it has more songs that I love, even though Soul of a Vagabond is on Part 1. I think there are more songs that don't hit the spot on E1. And Season of Faith's Perfection, Dreamweaver and Awaken the Giant to me are every bit as magical as the oldies that I love - Visions, Season of Change, Eternity, Winter, etc. For me, Strato get better with time.
As a general rule, my favourite Strato, Nightwish, Sonata songs are the ones that are never played live and that everyone else doesn't like. My least favourites on an album are almost always the singles, and my least favourite albums are often everyone else's favourites and vice versa.

hey, cool avatar!
I picked Destiny...it was the first Stratoalbum i´ve got, and that´s where my attentions were focused on the band. Visions and Episode are great, but destiny has a special place in my heart!

Diego, now you can tell us, this second account Blurkan is You
You won't cheat us twice ! *kidding*
I voted for "Episode".
I think "Dreamspace" is probably the most interesting but it cannot really be considered as a "Stratovarius" album.
"Visions" is a really great album but not as good as "Episode" for sure !

Fourth Dimension... and I'm the only one who voted it so far!
Though the "old new" Stratovarius line-up is unreachable, I love Tuomo's drum-beat lines and the discreet, but always too much expressive, keyboard lines and sounds from Antti.
And, to me, Fourth dimension holds the best Kotipelto's performance in the band. His voice in songs such as We Hold the Key sounds simply breath taking!!!

Yes! I love 4th Dimension! GALAXIES is one of the most beautiful StratoSongs!Actually, 4th Dimension is my 3rd fav StratoAlbum after Visions&Dreamspace!StratoHeart wrote:Fourth Dimension... and I'm the only one who voted it so far!

Yes, WE HOLD THE KEY is very nice-I like it,&the clips in Infinite Visions did in time to it were spectacular!
Most important--AGAINST THE WIND was my first StratoSong I ever heard :jump2: So, it is a very special Album to me, indeed!

Re: Which Stratoalbum is for you the best?
Episode, and it's not even close. Episode is one of the most "stacked" albums I've ever seen. 13 Songs, all good, most legendary. I mean, Father Time, Will the Sun Rise, Eternity, Episode, and Speed of Light back to back? Then there's Season Of Change, Stratosphere, Tomorrow, Forever... wow.
A Lucid Mind
Re: Which Stratoalbum is for you the best?
Vision definitely.... even Visions of Europe...
.
Visions. For the simple reason of having the song 'Visions' on it. I'd vote for Episode if it weren't for that song. People often compare it to Destiny, Anthem of the World and others, but to me, they don't even come close. Just a masterpiece. So yes, I'm voting more for the song than the album.
FOR THE GLORY OF KRONOS!
