Live in Three Dimensions - The rarest StratoBoot?

Post by StratoHeart » Sat Oct 23, 2004 10:50 pm

How I would like to, at least, hear the songs from this boot... :( But I don't know even ONE human beign who has it...

Does anyone have it here? It's a so big forum, it's impossible!

Seems it's the rarest and the more wanted StratoBoot. Do you agree?

That bootleg is an entire concert from Japan, right?
Yeah, I'd like to have it, too---but, thats an impossible dream. :(

It's a bit hard to define the rarest bootleg. I mean, I could go to a concert, record it and then keep it for myself. That would make it pretty rare, wouldn't it? ;)

I have the bootleg in question thanks to a certain kind person who also visits this forum and while it's not that special, it's of course nice to hear the older songs played by the old line-up. :)

Do you know any websites, where Stratovarius bootlegs can be downloaded from?
So where does the power come from to see the race to its end?

I've never seen any of those bootlegs anywhere.. I'd like to hear some of them, though. If anybody knows anything helpful, please post. :)

Yes and no.

Technicaly its illegal I believe (why else would they not allow recording devices into concerts)
but most bands dont care (unless that band is metallica atwhich point they will try and take all of your money) as a matter of fact my friend has a maiden bootleg from a concert shortly before DoDs release where Bruce encourages the crowd to put 'wildest dreams' on the internet as long as they buy the album when it comes out.

I dunno... Personally I love bootlegs and don't see a problem with it, as long as there is no profit. It's not like since I have some crappy sounding bootleg i won't go and buy their live album or see the band in concert (ofcourse in the caseof Stratovarius the latter is impossible, but that's not the point).

Most bands only care that people record/trade/distrubute/etc bootlegs because a) it's bad sound quality b) some people could be making a profit.

I don't know that I'd really buy a bootleg, unless it was something really obscure that I wanted. But usually this stuff is done by trading. I used to do a lot of trading, but of course money is very tight now

Anyway... yea I guess it's illegal, but again, if there's no profit to anybody (like some kid with a recorder stuffed down his pants), where's the harm?

I've also got both of them. The video was filmed for TV and I think the CD has the same sound as the video. That's why it's not really bootleg quality but sounding much better. 8)
Don't like it that much though...3dimensions is much better

I videotaped a tv-broadcast of the StratoGig @ Tavastia from which the bootleg was made from. (It was aired on finnish national television.) Pretty crappy sound quality at times, but I liked the setlist.
Koti's singing is sometimes a bit off-key when he has to hit the highest notes in "Anthem of the world" .. not that it disturbs me too much though. :)

Yeah, I had Visions of destiny myself, bought it of ebay. But I sold it again there, because it wasn`t that good. Bad sound, too quite, not enough drum sound and bass. And Kotipelto didn`t hit all tunes. I think some songs are written too high for him, especially on "Elements part1" which isn`t any good by the way.

Yeah, in the beginning of Anthem, he is not that good. But after the brilliant solo of Jens and Tolkki, he makes a good work. It's like the way he sings in BD on the Elements Tour.

I think, that Koti improved a lot after the album Infinite. Now he can sing out higher notes as well. But it's true, that less high notes would be needed.

How terrible it would be for some lucky owner to rip it and share it with people. Is this still considered illegal?
