No, Tuomo no longer plays in Conquest. Tim Fleetwood is their drummer now. Possibly he's left the band after their first album "Rage". Seems that he doesn't play in any band now, but interesting that I've found some evidence of that he played in Firefall and Tekniikan Ihmeet (

He went on to bigger and better things. See here:

Isn't it amazing, the ways of karma?

Yes, he is a talented individual and when his creation was taken from him, he didn't waste time fighting about it - he moved on and bettered himself. That's quite a prestigious job to play in an orchestra - that, to me, is the epitome of professional musicianship. They are lucky to have him.

It´s great that you are un-banned and all Allison, but don´t start your tolkki-bashing again. dont be that predictable.

If the word "pedagog" means anything to you, I remember seeing Tuomo in tv, and having that title used about him. So he is a kind of teacher for drums and percussion and yes, he has also done some orchestral stuff aside from metal projects. Conquest indeed has a new drumme though

That's a different Conquest. The one with Lassila released an album called "Worlds Apart" in 1999. Also, I believe Firefall is the same band as it seems to have included the same members.

Who mentioned Tolkki (besides you)? My only interest is in commenting about Lassila. YOU are the one who needs to to not incite problems where they do not exist.

You did, in about half of the millions of posts you have ever made in your whole life it seems. Including the one above: "His creation was taken from him". (Or who do you mean took Lassila´s creation from him?)
I think Tolkki must have done someting very very very very very very very very bad to Allison, or something that she thought was very very very very very very very very bad.

Don't fester on Allison like that.
She has every right to be pissed at Mr. Tolkki (lol this sentence sounds weird).
He has acted weird, and when a problem came in his way he took of 8 months to relax instead of move on.
I'm not trying to attack him, he can do whatever he wants. But Allison (though she did not reference him in this post) has the right to say whatever she wants.

Yeah, and I have the right to say that she appears to be a deranged fan, some psycho with a crush, who has been banned from three forums already.
I also have the right to tell her to shut the fuck up. And you as well.

Well, I can be wrong, but I knew that the Conquest which Tuomo played was a hard rock band.

It was - that was the Conquest with Marco Hietala. I really wish that band would have stayed together because they were pretty damned good. BUT - Tarot is resurrected, and that is even better

Wow!!
I didn't know that he played with Hietala in Conquest! I didn't hear anything of the band, but surely with that line-up they were good.
Hietala vocals ROCK!!!!! Do you agree?

Yeah! Hietala is one of all times' best vocalists to come out of Finland.

He rocks.
p.s. Check out his band "Tarot" covering Rainbow's Kill The King to hear for yourself. :headbang:

well, check out Tarot because he's doing a lot of singing in that band. Conquest wasn't really marketed as it should have been. That was a good quality band but seemed to be the best kept secret for some reason. Conquest could have been huge. But I don't know if it was intended to be a permanent thing or just a project. Virtuosity (and formerly Kenziner) were sort of like that too which is a shame because that Jarno Keskinen is quite a guitar player. Maybe some people just like to make music but aren't into the fame end of it. And that's cool too.

Tarot was actually formed by Marco and Zachary(Sakari, Saku for short) in the 80's and it's one hell of a band in the metal scene of Finland, pioneers so to speak. Marco is of course the bassist and singer in that band and even though they don't play live much, they are still active.

Conquest is strongly coming back. Well atleast they are working on a litte comeback. Keep your fingers crossed! Also theid debut album Worlds Apart is mostlikely one of the best debut albums ever, just an amazing piece of work! They should have decerved a lot more attention back then and even now.
And if you didn't know Virtuocity is going on really strong these days, quite a few gigs here and there every once in a while. The last time I saw them was in the beginning of this month at the Tavastia club.

And why "one album musician"???
If I'm not mistaken, Lassila took part in 4 Stratovarius albums...

Absolutely right, he also played in CVAT.
