hi guys!!i'm timo the soulforged......something happened to my old account and i cant post anymore.....anyway.....i wanted to let you know that the metal hammer greece has an interview with hammerfall about their new album and anders said that he's brother is at this time with kotipelto,tolkki and kainulainen in new york working on the new album of stratovarius...!!

Interesting news. Hopefully it's as true, as the gossips about the breaking up last year were. Unfortunately I don't understand anything (okay, I understand enter, interviews,... ) on the webpage of metal hammer greece. If you could be so kind enough, pls write down the interview here, in english.

well there's not much to translate...it only says that the article about hammerfall has two shocking news.(they don't mention them so that you go buy it)the first is that in two songs of the new hammerfall album one guy from venom will take part and the second is the one about strato....and there wasn't said anything about anders being drunk so it may be true....

It doesn´t make sense, unfortunately. Timo Tolkki has a studio right here in Helsinki, why whould they all go to America.. ?

Whoa! Now what the hell is this.. Koti, Tolkki, Jens and Kainulainen in NY, working on a new record..? :O Even the nasty little skeptic in me doesn't know what to say.
IF it's true and anders isn't just talking bullshit to get some publicity or something.. then.. whoa.

If it is true, the reason why they are keeping it a secret is obvious: Tolkki and Kotipelto have to sit down and try to solve their issues, and that can't happen with the media or the fans pressing them.

Although.. I sadly believe that this is just another rumour :/

That's interesting, indeed. TT has a studio in Helsinki, or had, because last time he mentioned he wanted to sell it, and maybe it happend, so it wouldn't be strange if he records somewhere else. Or maybe they are just working over songs, writting and discusing it.
As regards reunion, TK is on tour from March 18, so I'm afraid he wouldn't have much time to work with the rest of the band in that period (to April 9 dates are confirmed as far).

It doesn't look like a joke, it's so sophisticated (why in NY? and why Anders would say such things?), but if it is, it's not funny for us, just look what discussion and hopes it caused...

And last TT statement, he said that there was no plans to do a new album in the near future, so, did he changed his mind, all of a sudden, once again?

Maybe true, maybe not. Time will tell.

I think that there are a lot of legal reasons why none of the band can say much, which may be why they are all laying pretty low. Cos they know they will get asked a hundred things they woudl like to answer but can't, if they do appear.

No new albums, but discussion. Isn't it obvious? Talking, like friends, and of course a little break for them, with the company of some beer. Maybe lyrics writings. Who knows?

They absolutely can work on some new material. There is enough of time has already passed and Timo feels much better now, seems that they have buried the hatchet and doing some work from time to time.

If Anders Johansson actually said in an interview, that JJ, TT, TK and JK are working on some stuff, he's probably telling the truth.
I mean, why would he just think up something like that out of thin air?
NY sorta makes sense when you keep in mind that Jens lives there. (Doesn't he?)
Nevertheless, I want to see a statement or a post from tolkki/etc concerning the truthfulness of the claim.

You are thinking why they doesn't record (if they are recording anything) in Tolkki's studio.
But Tolkki said in his last news: "Some exploding-work under the studio in solid rock isn't helping (they are building a parking hall there)".
So maybe that's one cause why they can't record there.
Who knows?

Good point. Anyway, I think we should just calm down and wait for the next bit of news, just as we have done so far. I think we're going to hear something more official about this sometime soon.

If Tolkki, Jari, Koti, Jens are all in New York I'm packing my backs tonight and heading on over, haha

What I don't understand is the contract with the new label. Aren't Stratovarius required, in any form, to release a new album? I think the fine if they don't would be huge...

I (almost at 100%) agree with you. I just don't want to push the guys on telling us anything yet. It's their lives after all you know. But anyway if these news are indeed true, it would be the best news in the history of mankind; not only for the recordings but for (and mostly) the end of the war between TT and TK...friends once again. Let's just wait for official news...
