Elements World Tour 2004

Post by Beast_Pete » Sun Dec 12, 2004 12:53 pm

I bet you were a little bit WTF? when you first saw this topic, but it's nothing official, nothing ever, that may become true, as it's nearly the end of this year. It's just a "What would the setlist look like, if they gave a concert to us, within an Elements Tour 2004?".

So the rules are: the list should be about 2 hours long, maybe a little bit longer, as live they play some songs faster or shorter. There must be an intro and an outro (the outro must be a Stratovarius song, and if you can, choose it from Elements Part II... I couldn't BTW :) ). At least 6 songs must be picked from Elements Pt II. That's all, free feel to post. Ohh, and try not to forget, that it's a live setlist, not a best of list.

Mine is the following:

01 Intro (Final Fantasy VII - Sephiroth)
02 IWTMOS
03 Know the Difference
04 Distant Skies
05 Glory of the World
06 Before the Winter
07 Dreamweaver
08 I'm Still Alive
09 Destiny
10 Will the Sun Rise?
11 Paradise
12 Coming Home
13 Father Time
14 Speed of Light
15 Learning to Fly
-=|Jen's playing solo's, others are having a break|=-
-=|Tolkki's playing solo's|=-
16 Awaken the Giant
17 Future Shock
18 Forever
19 Black Diamond
-=|Kotipelto entertaining the crowd|=-
20 Anthem of the World
21 Liberty
22 We Are the Future
23 Hold on to Your Dream
-=|Band off the stage, Crowd is shouting/begging from more: "We want more!"|=-
24 Out of the Shadows
25 Hunting High & Low
26 Outro (Goodbye)

It's about 2 hours and 11 mins long, if we don't count the solos. So in a concert it could be 2 hours long.

Maybe, because we're bored? ;)

I think that setlist beast_pete posted is absolutely magnificent.. if I could only witness a stratogig like that.
IMO some Elements Pt. 2 songs should definitely be played live, and I'm not referring to IWTMOS :)
Maybe.. maybe IF strato still tours someday, and IF good luck is with us, one of them will have read this topic and decided that they're going to use this specific setlist for a gig. :)
Only time will tell.

Well, let's hope so. ;) But the song I really-really would like to hear is Learning to Fly. They haven't played it live, and it's a tipical live song... so... :)

Whew, that would be a really, really long concert.
I haven't killed him yet sir,
But when I do, I shall have the stomach and the liver too,
And the floppily doppilies in their horrid glue.
