"A promise is a promise"

Some FFVII fans may know this sentence. I always liked it.

About 8-9 months ago, I promised to myself, that if Stratovarius reunites, I'll learn all their lyrics by heart. I know, that learning more than 100 songs won't be easy, but if they're from my fav band, and as a promise is a promise, I WILL do it. (and as I have already learned more than 50% of them, it is not difiicult at all I admit =P )

BTW, I didn't tell it anyone till today. Now all of you know it... and I hope to read your promises as well. ;)

Stratovarius Forever!

I don't think I told anyone this promise, but I promised that if they reunited, that I would become a huge fucking fan and actually attempt to buy at least one of their albums!

I know some of them to play on the guitar, some of them to sing, and some of them both.

The most powerful song, which had even gained mentionable positive feedback is Coming Home. I've taught it to my friends, and we're singing it many times when we're together and I have my accoustic with me.

I wander sometimes if I am in time to learn...
I have a keyboard on my room lol! But I only know to improvize... I play fast, yes but I dont know a shit about notes and even the chords...(I only know the basics) But its really my dream to play in a metal band with my brother(who plays drums, he is still only 14 but damn he plays fuking great! and has a great double bass!) I'm 17 I hope I'll learn someday some basics about music to play some stratosongs!! Lol I only know to play the intro of black diamond XD well now that I'm happy for the returning of strato maybe I will practise hard!!!

Ergh. I didn't make any promises. I generally don't think that's sound policy, even in one's own mind. But....let me jump on the bandwagon here....hey, there's no 'sheep' emoticons....

Now that Stratovarius is back together, i promise that i will always wear my underwear inside-out.

Okay, let's get serious for a minute here.

I seriously entertained the thought of a Lily tattoo for a long time. And then all this horrendous stuff happened and i was like, "OH MY DOG, NOOO!!!" :poke:

Serious animosity, people.

So...my promise is as follows. Keep it kosher for a little while so i can warm up to the band again, and on "StratoDay" of next year i'll get my Lily tattoo.

Promise. ;)

Whell, last year my new year's promise was to learn to sing one octave higher than I could at the time.

It worked. (or at least that's what they say)

This year: I promise to learn to sing ANOTHER octave higher.

That'll be tough

Click Witch, please don't be stupid enough to get a strato tatoo.
If you think you will be proud of it when you are 60 years old, you are very wrong. But there's "no turning back" with a tatoo.

It may seem cool but just wait 40 years...

FTS...:)....i appreciate the concern.

I actually considered a Stratolily tattoo to be ideal, because it's so...nondescript. Even without the ties to stratovarius, it's still functional as a merely decorative tattoo. Plus it's got that whole thematic thing going on with The Three Musketeers.

But...i'm also skeptical, for the same reasons, which is why i still don't have any tattoos. :D

Well, I was always "afraid of" having a tattoo. What if in a few years I get bored of it? What if it brings me bad memories. (ig: a girls name). There are many tattoos that look cool, but does it worth it? Isn't our body beautiful enough? I think, it is.

But there are some reasons, that could make me have a tattoo. For example, our national water-polo team have a tattoo of the Olympics, which was held in Sidney. They won the Golden Medal. This is a good reason imho.

Well, I've got a comic sin.. I'm so new stratovarius fan so I've never seen them live. So my promise is: When they're next time on stage in Finland; I'll be there. May Stratovarius last forever!

Yeah tattooing a girl's name on yourself is really idiotic. Especially if another girl gets to see it :D

Don't worry, i haven't seen them live either.....mostly because if/when they play a show in my area, about three people will show up. Not a financially sound move.

If they get that world tour thing up and running again, i'l probably have to drive at least three to four hours to see them. Believe me, i promise i will.

Don't get a girl's name tattooed on you. I certainly wouldn't. ;)

Yes, that's my promise as well...I HAVE to go to the gig here in Spt.

And now that we're promising stuff, I promise I won't pee on my pants again. And that I'm going to the Rhapsody show next month.

I am not ready, but I've learned such songs, like Forever Free, Hold on to your Dream, Witch Hunt (not 100%... damn, it's really hard to sing it as fast as Tolkki), The Kiss of Judas...

As you can see, there are some songs, that I should have learned before, but I didn't.
