HELL YES!!!!! I'll be making the trip to Atlanta this year for sure!!!! ProgPower & possibly a NYC gig...SWEET!!!!!

I will definitely by going as long as I can tickets!!

And there must be some kind of tour put up around this PP VI gig, wait and see.

@AMBR Make sure you wear the shirt we got at Tavastia last May! They'll notice it for sure and you'll get a good laugh with the guys.

Woah! This doesn't really concern me at all since I live in Finland but I know the reputation of this ProgPower festival and I must say that this is no small gig for strato.
It's amazing that the guys finally get to tour the U.S after so many years.

Finally, Strato in the States! I'm willing to bet Kotipelto helped swing this about!
They will realize just how many fans they have here, and ask themselves,"Why in the world did we wait so long?"

Hell, yea! I got Koti to sign it last year but I have to get the rest of them to sign in now. Kind of ironic it says, "I was there crazy and proud 'til the bitter end. " Now, of course, it's NOT the end!!!

The festival organizer, Glenn, has said a number of times he wanted to get Strato. In fact, I beleive he had said he was 80% sure of having them last year.....before the problems.

I'm just so damn happy however it came about. I had the opportunity to talk to Timo K. at ProgPower last year and he really wanted to come back, but things were just so up in the air back then.

It actually says "Stratovarius to kick off their North American tour at ProgPower USA!" on the PP USA website, so I think there's definitely more shows to come.

As a side note, I just read that the US tour of Nightwish and Sonata Arctica has been postponed till September...

Stratovarius to headline ProgPower USA!

Stratovarius to kick off their North American tour at ProgPower USA! Also announced are new comers Circus Maximus who will be joining Therion and Manticora on September 16-17 in Atlanta. Press release:

ATLANTA – ProgPower USA has confirmed Stratovarius as one of the headliners of the festival’s sixth installment, to be held September 16 and 17 at Earthlink Live in Atlanta.

This performance will be the Finnish power metal band’s first ever in North America. It is also the first confirmed show since the reformation of the "classic" lineup including vocalist Timo Koltipelto.

"We feel that the time is now finally right, and that the legendary ProgPower is the perfect setting for us," said keyboardist Jens Johansson. "We are really excited about this chance to connect with our fans there."


If you get NW and SA there at the same time, it's our turn to be jealous here in Europe...

Strato at ProgPower also means Strato in Montreal!!! (Well, at least 90% sure, if the metal booking agency doesn't book them, I'll do it ) I'll sleep in front of the venue for like 10 days before the show...I'll die for sure when I hear the first note...dreams do come true than
