Just thought I'd share my thoughts... the dude is just so awesome!

I wanted to share my thoughts about Jens too. I got too excited and I posted this in the Dream Setlist thread and PMed him this message, hopefully he will see it here.............

To Mr. Jens Johansson,
You are one of my all time favorite keyboardists, composers, and musicians. I have tried to keep up with all your CDs that you're on since your Yngwie years, but it's hard to keep up!!!!! Fission, Heavy Machinery, and famous fjäderlösa tvåfotingar album are my all time favorite CDs. I would've loved to hear Hooded Strangers or Tea for One and a Half or any song off of those CDs for that matter, but I'm guessing that those won't get voted on the set list. Some of your solos have so much feeling along with magnificent composition that I've seriously shed tears listening to some of them. I like to refer to your solos/songs as "Stories" in the sense that you've got a beginning, a middle that builds up and up, and then a climax where everything explodes into a frenzy,and then you smoothly lead back into the initial riff. The opening solo on "The Cage" blows my mind and I know it's not your best one, but I really like the ones on "Freedom" and "I'm Still Alive", they makes me feel like I'm on top of the world! I really admire you for having the guts to be able to go out there in the world and do metal solos on the keyboard. I also admire you for not being restrained to labels. I mean it's really rare to see someone as versatile of a musician as you. Overall though, what I’m saying right now doesn’t even express a quarter of the feelings I have for your music or talent. I wanted to take time out to really let you know that your music is truly inspiring and I really appreciate listening to your music that you’ve created over the last couple decades. Thank you! Thank you very much!

As a person I think he is very narrow-minded. He has a great sense of humor, though. As a musician, he is a great keyboardist--one of the best!

*cough* Thank you. I just would like this opportunity to say that i think Jens (or anyone, really) wouldn't appreciate a thread with a title of "_______ is the GREATEST!" to end up this way. So....if the offending parties would kindly take it up via PM...that would be nice. Thanks.

I wonder also... I can't see anything special about that band. Good band, that's for sure, but not a fucking-awesome-band-that-blows-your-mind-everytime-you-listen-to-it.

they are a nice band...but i cant imagine a battle between Jens and Vadim. sorry to say, but Vadim hasnt any chance to win...it should be an execution!
