Timo about recording albums in general....?

do you record each instrument seperatly and mix them, or do you guys play together that song to record (otherwise how in the name of hell can you guys coordinate perfectly when playing live)
also i know you write most of the songs but does jens and the rest of the band contribute sometims? and the key solos, does jens improvise or what??
and thats about it, sorry if this is overwhelming!
