So what they are doing today? I know what Tuomo Lassila's job is now, but others: Antti Ikonen, Jyrki Lentonen, John Vihervä, Staffan Stråhlman, Jari Behm?

The rest I don´t have a clue, but I had a band in 1982 called Thunder and we are reuniting for dinner this Friday.Stratofanius wrote:So what they are doing today? I know what Tuomo Lassila's job is now, but others: Antti Ikonen, Jyrki Lentonen, John Vihervä, Staffan Stråhlman, Jari Behm?
We are going to jam with some beers and probably record some songs.
i composed over 20 songs for this band.

I miss Tuomo's drumming...TimoTolkki wrote:The rest I don´t have a clue, but I had a band in 1982 called Thunder and we are reuniting for dinner this Friday.Stratofanius wrote:So what they are doing today? absolutely love the drums in the original distant skies, they go perfectly with the song
but jorg in speed of light is brilliant, i like both of them in their own drumming style

Jörg was the one who played the original Speed Of Light (Eplsode album). Anyway I agree, both have different styles, and though I prefer Tuomo's I admit he wouldn't fit in today's Strato at all.stratoplayer wrote:absolutely love the drums in the original distant skies, they go perfectly with the song

that is what i mean (about jörg) and yes toumo seems more of a progressive dream theaterish drummer than a power metal drummerMaFiaBoY wrote:Jörg was the one who played the original Speed Of Light (Eplsode album). There is an other band, that called Thunder, but they were founded only in 89'. (www.thunderonline.com)
Timo, in what style of rock music do/did you play with YOUR Thunder?

Nothing to say.

Re: Old members of Stratovarius
Wow. Tuomo has been in band called Conquest. I thought he is in orchestra (or I don't know is he still there)...
Re: Old members of Stratovarius
According to Episode #4 a guy called Martti Kettunen did the vocals. The other members were Jari Vanhanen on drums, Jyrki Lentonen on bass (later in Stratovarius as well, obviously) and Mika Ervaskari on keyboards (who also did some stuff on Hymn to Life and was at that time cited as "the original keyboardist of Stratovarius" in some press release by Nuclear Blast).Stratofanius wrote:And did you (TT) also sing?
The music they played was supposedly "Rainbow-like".

Re: Old members of Stratovarius
I'd like to hear more of this THUNDER band that TT was in, nd another StratoMember. Sounds like PRE-Strato to me! Sounds interesting! Tolkki must've been really young when he started playing Metal in bands. Thats admirable.
There was ROAD BLOCK, too. He needs to do like all older people and tell us the stories about these bands he was in when he was younger. Of course, Jorg and Jens were very young, too, starting out.

This link mentions something about those people TT referred to. Did they help him in his two solo albums? Thats what it seemed to me. Or maybe I'm just confused
It would be nice if TT created another solo project, along the lines of CVAT, for example.
