"Freedom" was not a big favorite of mine at first but now I'm getting more into it these days.

Nice topic.
I didn't like We Hold The Key at first (don't shoot me, don't shoot me!)
Now, it's one of my favorites.
The same happened with Father Time and 4th Reich.

Wings of Tommorrow... I never really listened to it for a while becuase the 80's keyboard styling horns in the beginning made me think the whole song was gonna sound the same... but after a while I listened to the whole dreamspace album from start to finish and I found it to be way tight in its own way...

That`s tough to answer. Because some songs - in various genres - need more time to do their "click" in your head.
But I have to say I didn`t like the whole Destiny album at first, now I love all songs except three of `em.

The Kiss of Judas: When I heard it for the first time I didn't even listen it to the end.. But now I listen it every time when I listen to Strato.

Same. And now it's my all-time favourite Stratovarius song.
Season of Change didn't open in first times, but now it's veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery good, also in my all time favourites.
+ All songs (expect The Hands of Time) of Twilight Time
+ Some songs of Visions (now it's best album in the world and all songs are GREAT)
+ Slow songs of Episode
+ Others...
And now they are my favourites...

Probably "Seasons Of Faith Perfection". I really hated the opening, especially the singing, but nowadays I just love that song. One of my fave ballad songs of Strato, with "Mother Gaia" (also one song that I couldn't stand at first)
And maybe the same feeling with "Drop In The Ocean".
At first I thought that this song was weak and boring, but it's really interesting. The chorus is definitely one of the best that Strato ever recorded.

Same here. Now I love that song and listen that every time when I listen Episode/Visions of Europe. The same feeling I had with Night Time Eclipse too. But actually there are many songs which didn´t open to me when hearing them first times, but which I like now much. Just have to say Stratovarius has so much good/very good songs. There are only a few bad ones of which you already can guess which they are. (not 030366 though, it´s good

)

I didn't like Black Diamond very much. No it is ok for me, but not the best fast song of Stratovarius (Speed of Light, Find Your Own Voice and the great old ones: Hands of Time and Chasing Shadows)
And I liked False Messiah but I don't like it now.

When I heard Startovarius for the first time, I didn't like them in general. I showed my friend "Forever Free" and he thought the key change where Koti's singing goes a little higher was really gay. I thought so too, and I put the CD away for a long time. I didn't like power metal in general. It was a combination of things that made me like Strato for sure though. Then, in the end, it was Tolkki's amazing composition skills that made me love them so much today. I really like Kotipelto's singing and power metal now. I'm still not into any of the Ballads though.

I wasn't impressed by Eternity at first, but now I think it's the best song the band has ever done - hell, possibly even best a Finnish band has ever done.
Hopefully it'll be in the live set on the Hammerfall/Strato tour

The very first Strtosong I've ever heard, great song indeed. It would be very nice if it could be on the list.

Well, luck they had Eternity many times on their sets last year. For example the gig on Midsummer festival RMJ in Finland (I was there btw

) was broadcast on Finnish TV last December and every time I watch it from the video I get very impressed when Eternity comes. It´s one of their greatest songs also in my opinion. Maybe the 4th best on my present TOP-list.
But anyway, I have to mention that Fright Night was first an album which I really didn´t understand much. It sounded too much like a young band´s demo (though TT´s guitar solos sounded already fine). But now also this has opened to me and I like it more. Darkness is e.q. a very good song. So, only Destiny is an album, which hasn´t opened me totally yet.

GALAXIES is beautiful, IMO! A mystical/New Age type song.
I don't like many of the Elements I songs at all--the earlier Stratovarius stuff I like much more. But, I grew to enjoy listening to both the Elements CDs the more I have listened.

For those who don't like Season Of Change:
U should listen to the live version......it's way better.
Sorry, I'm bananas 'bout this song.

Season Of Change is the best song ever.
Especially that live-version of it.
But it's true that when I heard it first time I didn't like it very much.
