Stratovarius members guest appearances

Post by Latuman » Mon Jun 06, 2005 5:51 pm

I guess TT, TK, heck, everyone in the band has done some guest appearances.

Is there any good list on the net that would reveall as much projects as possible?

Maybe we could make that in English :D So here are the ones I know

for TT : Some vocals and guitars on Tobias Sammet's Avantasia

for TK : one song on Ayreon's Universal Migrator, Part II (Impressive list of guest vocalists : Koti, Dickinson, Lione, Allen...)

for Jens : just check his website

Why you then even wrote that message. You could have just ignored this topic or just read.

Strange. It´s so easy to notice, Kotipelto just scream it very high. Comparing this to Kakko´s voice is very clear. The last shout doesn´t sound like Tony at all.

Someone once told me that Tolkki had a hand in the Genius rock opera. But i don't know if this is true or not. Possibly they confused it with Avantasia?

Tobias is too damn creative for just one band. I envy him.

Jörg Michael played in so many bands. I don't know everything, but he played the drums for Saxon on the Lionheart album. He also played with Soto and Blackmore, and still, while he recorded Episode and Visions with Strato... as I know.

For Jörg, there's also a pretty complete discography at his website.

Check this.

I've had it online for a while now (a few years maybe :P), but never bothered to link it from the main site because I wasn't quite happy with the format and was too lazy to change it. Plus the list probably isn't even nearly complete.

TT plays two parts of guitar solo in 'Out Of Control' by Edguy, released on 'Vain Glory Opera' in 1998. btw, also Hansi Kursh (Blind Guardian) sings there.

Correction.

I don't know if this counts as guest appearances, but Jari recorded all the bass parts on Koti's solo-albums.

So yeah, they've all done guest appearances...

Jens played on more albums than anyone in the band. I still need to hear The Last Viking. I look for it in every music store I go to. Jens and Romeo together has to be incredible.

Well, not necessarily a guest appearance and besides this was a live thing but today TT and Jens joined the band Kotipelto on stage in Sauna Open Air in Tampere. They only played one song together, though (Black Diamond)... :) It was veeeeery nice...

Well, filming videos were actually forbidden there, but of course there will be some photos for that situation. I took some too, though by film because I just forgot to take my shit digicam with me, was too hurry. But I saw that there was one quy on the stage filming the gig by an amateur viedocam, so hope perhaps in the future on DVD etc. some material.

Jens Johansson played keyboards in Barilari's album. Barilari is the singer of Rata Blanca.
BTW, on "songs of silence" (sonata's live album), jani plays the intro of speed of light in false news travel fast, in the exact part where timo sings in the studio album

did i explain myself??? :P
