I disagree with that but it could be better if there is second guitarist in Stratovarius. Really. Sometimes one guitar just not enough. Of course Tolkki is the boss , so it's quite imbossible idea

I second that. Lauri is the only choice in Finland for a replacement of Jari and they got him. Well, he seems to be a good friend of TK, at least. Maybe that was one of the reasons.

Ohoh, so Lauri has also made a solo record. Really interesting, although I think I won´t buy or even download it whether it´s sth like fusion-jazz. He´s just an excellent player.

You're wrong, Equinox. He's even considered as "the new Cliff Burton" by some people. Believe me, he's really good.

mmmm, just my humble opinion, but Burton was not that big thing, for me there are even better ones...like Jari for example...Ok, Cliff was a great bass player, but he earned that fame because, first, he belonged to Metallica, a metal icon band and second, he died dramatically.
Is like saying Jimi Hendrix is unreachable...i mean, the man rocked well, but Jason Becker did too, Michael Romeo does too, Steve Vai does too...
So, what i can say is that i know Porra's work, and he kicks ass, doesn't need to be compared to Cliff. Unfortunately Jari is gone from the Strato-hordes, but believe me my friend Equinox, i guarantee you'll not be dissapointed, Lauri is the man.

Cool.. I'm looking foreward to seeing this Lauri dude. He's got some pretty big shoes to fill, but I imagine they chose him because he's good
