Eeerm... I´m afraid, I don`t know any russian bands. They are quite underrepresented here, I guess...

Aria is a great band imo. Mummin Trolls is quite good too.
Elsewhile, I don't remember much of any russian bands, sorry.

Oh yes... T.a.T.U is great!!! Best band in the world!

I remember about Gorky Park a russian band from the eighties. It was a good band, but i don't know if they keep on playing..

No, there is a real russian band called Gorky Park (who is, btw, also the name of a famous park in Moscow, which explains why Scorpions mention that name in Wind Of Change)

Sure about DTT and Nautilus, they are really popular in Russia

And Svetlana Svetikova isn't good singer, she is a pop-singer so not good

That Filip Kirkorov, I was told he is extremely arrogant. He used to act like he is the best russian artist ever and that all the other singers are crap, but then, he got his lesson when his version of Chicago didn't sell at all! He really thought he could beat Notre Dame De Paris or Metro

my dear russian friend is a HUGE fan of Svetlana Svetikova.
I have a video of her, from a russian show (Fabrik ?), in which she is singing with Toto Cutugno (a famous italian singer). Poor of her, the guy almost raped her!
Actually, Svetikova is a much better singer that all those stupid pop songs she is asked to sing.

There is also that russian female singer that I can't remember the full name (Julia something), she came from Fabrik and represented Russia for the Eurovision 2 years ago. She's not a good singer at all but she has a couple of amazing songs (including that "Vizia" something).

Cliff, do you mean Julia Michalchik? Or maybe it was Julia Savicheva? They are both from Fabric. What the hell you know about Russian music, people??? I hate these similar singers and bitches...

And how do I know about Russia... well, u know it already, I was a lot into Russia few years ago

I like Arkona. I just bumped into them a while ago and I hear that they have released very cool pagan/folkmetal on 3 CDs within the last two years. Though I've only heard the latest "Vo Slavu Velikom" I can recommend them already for those who are into bands like Finntroll, Ensiferum, Korpiklaani and let's say Hyubris and Vintersorg to name a few.

My grandmother likes Filipp Kirkorov, but I think he sucks. His songs are so fucking meaningless. There`s nothing serious, only "I love you, I want to have sex with you". I hate it. :yuk:
