Most of the songs on New album has terrific&meaningful Lyrics.
I have not even checked the Main StratoPage--they might be there. Or on Moony's Page.
"Your life is yours, and yours alone. Rise up and live it!"

Bob: I don't believe in God.
Archangel Michael: That's OK, Bob, because He doesn't believe in you, either!~Legion~

It's a shame the music isn't as good.

What do you mean, dude? Well I confess that I prefer to listen to the old albums but I do listen to Maniac, Gypsy and Just Carry On.

Right To Evolve

Post by necrolog » Wed Oct 05, 2005 5:59 pm

I think that the new, self-titled album is great. Although it is different from what we've heard before, it is good. Personaly, I think that a band has the right to evolve and/or explore new musical structures, instead of being stuck in patterns. It shows that stratovarius is indeed a very talented band, and that they are open-minded enough to explore new horizons. I say keep up the good work to the band!!!

Well, everybody has it's own opinion. But calling it a "shame" is much exaggerated. Although the music is different, it's not automatically bad, just because it doesn't fit to the expectations of fans.
Personally I think this album is really great! It's a step in another direction, it's really fresh stuff, at least to me, as I thought the Elements Albums were just middle class and somehow repetitious.

Well, the lyrics of the new album are not that "poetic" as on the albums before (except that wonderful peace "land of Ice and Snow"), but they are direct, they are from heart.... On the Elements-Albums there wasn't anything (except maybe A&O and SOAV) that could convince me; somehow it seemed the lyrics were written because they "had to be".

But, why complaining? IMO things are getting better with Stratovarius again.
