Well, in my post I said I love What Can I Say?, but I have to choose another two songs for the second and the third positions: Keep The Flame and Run Away. The first one is so damn beautiful and the second is so damn rocking, yeah! :headbang: And I love both lyrics.
Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
Uncertainty by Kotipelto. It's one of my favourites from Episode BTW.
So you children of the world, listen to what I say
If you want a better place to live in, spread the words today
Show the world that love is still alive, you must be brave
Or you children of today are children of the grave
If you want a better place to live in, spread the words today
Show the world that love is still alive, you must be brave
Or you children of today are children of the grave

Have to say that the bass is awesome on Uncertainty, one of the best in all Strato-songs. One of the best in Episode too, but definately not that best.Bones wrote:Uncertainty by Kotipelto. It's one of my favourites from Episode BTW.

To me, "Keep the flame" Some times I feel that I can ID myself with that song...
Then, the curtains are falling and then "what can I say?" Great.
And i want to hear "Ride like the Wind"

Uncertainty by Kotipelto is my favour
Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
Paradise is my favoutite song with the words of Kotipelto but he wrote much more songs that we can vote!! (Speed of light, Black diamond, Hunting high and low...)

Mine favourite lyrics by Kotipelto are in The Kiss of Judas (which is also my fav strato song )mo-ka wrote:Paradise is my favoutite song with the words of Kotipelto but he wrote much more songs that we can vote!! (Speed of light, Black diamond, Hunting high and low...)
Anyway we're not talking about lyrics and supporting. Only songs which are completely done by someone else than Tolkki.

I bet, this poll is abotu the music and lyrics, not just one of them.

Actually, you should read the first post of this topicBeast_Pete wrote:I bet, this poll is abotu the music and lyrics, not just one of them.
And of course we can talk of other lyrics, but this topic's idea was to make a poll for songs without Tolkki's name on song credits, as I said.

Maybe you´ve forgotten that the most song titles are made by Tolkki, although Kotipelto or Jens have made the lyrics. In some booklets it´s even said so.Beast_Pete wrote:I bet, this poll is abotu the music and lyrics, not just one of them.

Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
I know that. When the fight between the two Timo was going on, Tolkki said, that he picks the name for all the songs. And later the other members said it too. So I did not forgot about it.
And of course I read the first post, but looking at the poll, I thought, that this is a topic more about the songs which were composed only by Jens or Koti.

I can't believe, that even Keep the Flame have got more votes than Why Are We Here?
Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
If i had to vote again i'll chose Paradise cause i love that song.

Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
Yes, but polls have the habit of singling out ONE option, I chose Glory of the World because i just love that song and my hairs tingle when i hear it (i shit thee not), but that doesnt mean the other songs are brilliantBeast_Pete wrote:I am starting to like Why Are We Here? more and more. Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
I guess if Dream With Me wasn´t forgotten from the poll, it would´ve got some votes from the other ballads like What Can I Say? According to this theory, I´d say the Glory of the World may be the real leader of the poll...

Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
i vote for Glory of the World as i like the "show off" part.
...and i suddenly realized that my vote made a tie...as i did in "best strato member" poll...
that's not on purpose! believe me!
i would like to vote for What Can I Say or Keep The Flame, too.
(keep the flame is the song i want to play on my own funeral. yes i'm serious)

Keep the Flame for me. Thank you!
Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
For me it's all Jens stuff for sure : Why Are We Here, Run Away, Glory Of The World, Ride Like The Wind, Curtains Are Falling... All of them are kickass sonngs. I don't like Koti's music very much, though he writes great lyrics.

Well, it's not so big miracle, because nearly all songs on the list are by JensBeast_Pete wrote:Jens is leading.
Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
Off this list, Dream With Me must be the greatest but it's so non-non-Tolkki song becoz the main reason it's one of the greatest Stratosongs for me is Tolkki's beyond amazing guitar solo that makes the song jump onto another level. Voted for Uncertainty though.

Yep. And one of the best strato songs ever. It's my depression-killer no. 1!ElDiablo wrote:I'm also with the Glory of the World people! Easily best song from Infinite!

Re: Your favourite non-Tolkki Stratovarius song
I need to ask two things.
a) who wrote "Tomorrow" (one of my fav songs)
b) in the Holy Solos, during Jörg's solo, someone says something and I can't understan what does he say. the only thing I get is "..the good news, no bass solo"
can someone answer this, please?
