For me, it's Visions, definitely. Sorry to say that, but the younger the albums are, the more tawdrily are Tolkki's epical songs. The one exception is (in biggest part) "United" from the latest album, but the last two minutes trash the whole song again for me...

But this is enough for me. It´a totally useless to argue with you about Destiny coz we both know that you love the song and I consider it boring. :)
It isn't only the first memories. Or better said: sometimes it is, but most of the times it is something new.

And yes, it's useless to argue with me about Destiny. ;)

Visions, in my opinion, is the best epic strato song, the music and the lyric mean a lot to me.
Also visions was composed when the band were on their best times! :D And those times are coming back 8)

I hope that strato's "golden times" will come back and they could make again some classic albums, but I don't really believe to it very much... :?

The classical albums or the golden times?

Both. After Visions, they've done few good albums and some average/bad albums... I don't think that Strato can anymore do albums which are SUPER GOOD and that way they could "return" to "golden times"...

I voted for Visions. IMO it's only a veeeery little bit better than Destiny. Both are in fact genious songs! Visions is a better epic because it has more bombast, more frisky parts, is more tragic and has a more formidable songwriting and structure.
But Destiny is also absolutely great, and I love it, too. It's melodies are more catchy, the lyrics have more significance to me. However, Visions is slightly better IMO. Also the sound of the Visions album is IMO the best sound Stratovarius had so far. It's powerful and warm, not as sterile as on the following albums (but they did better on "Stratovarius" again).
Infinity is also very good and bombastic, it would be No.3 for me.
I don't like Elements that much, cuz to me it appears like it's a modified variant of Infinity, and the sound is very weak.

These are all great songs but I voted for Infinity - to me it is the most dramatic one. If it had been on the list, I would have chosen Soul of a Vagabond

my yearning soul keeps roaming
in the endless search for peace
(can ID with it... somehow)
Forgive me if I'm out of order-
this new 'music' has no soul.
It may be good for making money
(sadly this is not my goal)

voted for Elements but really dont know why if i think about the vote

for now my best liked songs are Destiny and Anthem Of The World and if the Anthem would be given as possible answer too i surely would have taken it ... EXCEPT you also let me choose Mother Gaia :D thats kind of an alltime favourite for me same like elements i really really like both songs :) (maybe this is way is voted for elements? :D ... for sure the choir is also awesome i think like the hole song ... dont know how much i like the music of strato, but sometimes i really think its my life to listen to it ;))

I voted for Destiny... Although Visions is better live.

Elements is the weakest of those four.

To me, there is no other like Infinity! With full-blown sound and eardrum-pounding drums, it really gets me goin' to "save the planet". 8)

From my point of view, Infinity is the best of those listed above, followed by Visions, Destiny and finally Elements. A long time ago, before hearing it, I was trying to compose some song using the following pattern:

Intro, with choir and strings
Verse 1: acoustic
Verse 2: overdriven, drums, bass
Chorus with intro rythm
Verse 3: like 2nd
Solos
Acoustic
Chorus and fade out

I wanted the song to be called "Mother" and be a hymn to our planet, and to make people see what are we doing to the Earth...

Now try to guess how I felt when I heard Infinity for the first time! I was amazed... Mr Tolkki had already done what I wanted to do and say... That's why is one of my favourite songs!

Cya!

PD: I know it seems unbelievable, but it 100% true!

'Destiny' for me! One of the first Stratovarius songs i ever heard and i've loved it ever since.
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

In my opinion it is epic for sure. The lyrics are interesting but the music quite boring, IMO.
