hi, i got a very interesting question (it is ... even though just for me ;D)
is it possible that kotipelto will do any singing on older strato songs within a tour? i think about songs like Hold On To Your Dream, We Are The Future or The Hands Of Time ... songs tha tollki is singing and kotipelto is not at strato at this time
i really think that this older ones are awesome and i would be very very happy if i could listen to them in concert
do you know if this might be possible?

I remember Strato playing some medleys in the Elements tour were they played some oldies, but I can't remember which except for Fright Night.
If they would play them again, I hope that too, at least for Hold on to your dream!

hmmm that would be really great, right
i've seen strato on the elements tour @woa but just knew elements pt1 and infinity at this time, so even black diamond was new to me and for sure i did not know what songs they are playing down there, cause just "Soul Of A Vagabund" was played from the elements album (friend of mine was really pissed of about that fact cause we both didnt know older strato albums and we were really looking forward to see them performing Eagleheart and Find Your Own Voice

)
but now when i really know everything from strato its truely clear, that on elements album there are only weak LIVE songs, but i like to listen to them at home most Fantasia and Elements.
hope to see strato again on tour next year and maybe they wont forget our plea for this older songs

(not like last great Stratovarius Tour)

Hold On To Your Dream would be amazing! His voice suited it on the accoustic version on the Infinite Visions DVD.
They already have done one song though with Kotipelto... Future Shock '96

In the last years (though not on the latest tour & gigs) they´ve played Reign of Terror sometimes with TK on vocals...

Every song from Twilight Time (well, expect Metal Frenzy) would be amazing to hear live, but it's more than sure that they won't play songs from that album anymore

Anyway, in some live medley from Elements era, they played clip of The Hands of Time

Dunno the right meaning, but its like play small parts of songs instead of them all in just ONE song.

Yeah that's the same medley that I've heard, langen bootleg. Band played well, but Koti's english spelling was quite horrible to my ears. Normally he sings better

Silly hoe
I like the song too&you'd have to wonder what frame of mind Tolkki was in to write such an expressive&emotive song. "Tears of Ice" appeals to the romantic&it does stir the tears, I must say. Great song.

"Hold On To Your Dream" would be nice to hear indeed!

I've already heard Timo Kotipelto singing also "Shattered" and it was interesting! Just my opinion!

I wish there was a concert where they played only Fright Night

They played that medly on the Elements tour. Started with Future Shock, moved onto Hands of Time, then Out of the Shadows, then Tears of Ice, then 4th Reich, then Twilight Symphony. If I remember correctly.

But ended to We hold the Key, I think. Well, anyway a bit of it was discussed above too.

I'd prefer "Hold on to your dream" and "We hold the key", but I guess with every new album the chance to see Strato playing songs from the early days will decrease.

I remember Strato on the Elements tour playing a medley consisting of "Fright Night" "The Hands of Time" Out of the Shadows" They also played 3 FULL songs from DREAMSPACE album (my favorite

)which were "We are the Future" "Tears of Ice" "Dreamspace"
Unfortunately on this tour they played only songs from the 4th Dimension era and above

Tears of Ice is a great song. It converted my ex-girlfriend's sister to Stratovarius, many years ago. Good song.
Hearing Kotipelto sing the older Strat songs always sounds a bit weird to me.
On that note, my brother has Fright Night on vinyl.

And, Tolkki does the singing! :headbang:
And, he should do more singing. But, that's up to him.

At least he likes to sing the backing vocals nowadays again, and does it very well!

Yah, that would be cool to have Tolkki sing some more songs.
When I heard kotipleot singing Hold on to your dream, it really wasn't the same, I like Tolkki's rougher edge on some songs.

Timo Tolkki has a very good voice and I have been lucky to hear his voice on stage, on the last two gigs that I have been with.

I like his singing. :headbang:

The first 3 StratoAlbums are terrific&Ido not think they should be done over in Kotis voice, but I see nothing wrong in him singing a few in concerts.
