I create this post for all fans in Argentina to fill with experiences, reviews for the show, pictures...

I hope there will be a post like this in every City Strato plays in... So, we'll be all connected around the world, knowing deeply the details of this five giant musicians and humang beings on this great tour.

So, anyone who has something to share: if you meet them - if you have a nice pic... - if you want to comment the setlist... I hope you'll find this topic the right place to do it.

Cheers for everyone here and around.
Mariano.
PS, btw, anyone knows the Hotel they will be staying at here in B.A.??
Can't wait for the show!!!

Distant Skies
Visions
The Abbyss of Your Eyes

No sparks of hope inside,
no shooting stars on my sky.

Actually, there was a short bass solo. It was a version of "Por una cabeza", a famous tango by Carlos Gardel. After the show, Lauri Porra told me he is playing a lot of tango in his country. I hope Lauri will record or share this versions of tangos since they seem to be really cool:) He is a great musician.

Show was so great, TK's voice was perfect, low and high, strong... And talking about strenght, Jörg was full of energy! Drums sounded so powerful!

Great versions of the songs. Great set-list. Band-public very connceted.

Timo Tolkki seemed to be happy and full of joy. I love seeing him enjoy playing.

Argentine crowd were singing:
"Ole, ole, ole, ole, ole, ole, ola... Oh.. Cada día te quiero más... Oh... Dale Stratooo, es un sentimiento, no puedo parar...."

For international understanders:
"Ole......... I love you more every day... Oh.. Strato is a feeling... I can't stop it..."

Crowd was really exited. I hope this energy has fulfilled this 5 human beings hearts:)

This will be continued tomorrow:)

Mariano.

SOS
Phoenix
The Abyss of Your Eyes
Twilight Symphony
A Million LightYears Away

The faint blaze of the candle of my life,
slowly dying like a fire in a pouring rain.
No sparks of hope inside,
no shooting stars on my sky.
On broken wings, no flying high...

In my opinion the Argentinian soccer-team jersey suits TK well! Plus, a nice change for a while too. 8)

I wanna see they playing Phoenix!!!!!!

Post by Mike Portnoy » Sat Oct 14, 2006 2:35 am

I hope they play "Phoenix" here in Brazil. I've seen them two times in my life and in these two shows they haven't played this song, that I love so much.

I'm glad to know they've played this song in Argentina.

I don't think you have to worry, they've been doing that song all throughout this "Tour of the Americas" so far. :)

I am very angry (for not sayin "pissed off")

90 pesos??? The cheapest ticket? 90 pesos??? WTF ? .... way too expensive... I can't afford that ....

I am really pissed off about that, and disapointed too.

If you’re pissed off, imagine the guys who went to a metal bar here in SP expecting to see Stratovarius and the other bands from Live n Louder festival.
It was one of those “pay and greet” parties... 50 reais to get in, extremely expensive!
They announced the bands as if they had confirmed they’d be there. In the end, the only band who actually made it was Primal Fear.

And the prices are set by the local promoters, the bands doesn't have anything to do with that.

Just in case your "disappointement" is against the band, it shouldn't, blame the local promoters for it.

And that Manifesto stuff... was clearly a rip off by the bar owners.

Indeed... as Tolkki said on his blog:

Stratovarius does not support these kind of activities. So if you see anykind of event other than concert saying you can meet us and you have to pay money for that, don´t believe it. It is not true.
