not going there.
that might sound stupid, but I don't see what's the point in going to that kind of huge festivals. You can see nothing at all of the show because there are too many pp in the area. You can consider yourself lucky if you are able to stand about 500 meters away from the stage.
Besides, I suffer from agoraphobia, so defintely not for me.

Tuska is a small festival compared to Wacken...
In fact I don't like Tuska either. The area is really small considering how many people comes to the festival, there is hardly any place to stand (except really far away from the stage) when the main bands are playing. I also don't like the audience in Tuska much. It's basically lot of black metal fans with painting on their faces who stares at other pp like they were *shit* because they don't wear anything black, or because they wear a heavy metal shirt (nothing black metal) or let's say just because they don't look metal enough. The same black metal fans that you can meet the rest of the year wearing the exact same usual clothes than anybody else and acting the exact same way than others, tell me more about how to look and act more "metal" than this

Last year, someone had the idea, for Wacken 2007, of camping close to Stratovarius' bus. He asked people to confirm their presence so he would reserve space accordingly. I wonder what that idea became?
Anyway, I live too far to be there anyway but I wish you a great show. This is the first time I hear negative comments about it, though they make sense.
By the way, I read somewhere that about 40,000 people attended last year. That is more people than in my own city
According to statistics for a period of 3-4 days, there should have (be?) one death (brr!), two baby deliveries, one marriage, several new encouters and, unfortunately, some separations.
Love you all!

The number of people you need to reserve space is very big, I don't think we 'd find enough people.

There will be around 100 hungarians holding place in the B camp. If anyone wants to meet me, just search for us in the middle of that camp area. Ohh and send a private message here on the forums, so we can exchange phone numbers and such.

Is it fordibben/illegal or anything to take a recorder on a live show?
I was just wondering if someone could record that new song and post it here possibly...
It does indeed sound very promising, I first got a feeling that it's going to be something like "once upon time" of Kotipelto...

I don´t mind if someone records it, but if someone will put it on some website, than that would be a copyright infringement. Nevertheless, it will be in YouTube anyway in few days...
No, it´s nothing like Kotipelto music. It´s like Stratovarius music.

...Cool...? well anyway, then I'll expect something like...oww dunno, maybe something like fast Nightfall or something...
Yeah, really cool in this post is not exactly that I'm ansvering to one of my Idols and the one who has written almost all strato songs, but that I'm ansvering to someone who actually knows already all songs of the next album (unless some are not even made yet)...

you mean that message ?
http://www.stratovarius.com/forum/viewt ... 195#406195
@TimoTolkki : In my opinion, if this is allowed by the Wacken organisation, you should add a video of the new song yourself, either via the Official Website, either via Myspace/Youtube.
Or a better idea, add a 2 minutes clip of the new song on Myspace, so :
a/ people in Wacken would have a chance to know the song already.
b/ people would not have to listen to a live version filmed with a crap phone quality, which might ruins the real song.
... or c/ get a sniper on the stage and ask him to shot everyone who's holding a phone or photocamera in his hand

Look what Cliff wrote above, you posted it on the another topic about Wacken.
Nevertheless, it will be in YouTube anyway in few days...
I think so too, that the new song will be found on YouTube quite surely some days after the show. That´s unfortunetaly the way nowadays...

I would be even less optimistic.
From my experience, most of the "stolen" material from festivals are available on Youtube the same evening, sometimes the next morning.
Internet is growing so fast nowadays that someday, any gig video will be available way before the gig, and musicians will use Youtube to correct their mistakes before doing them. Ah, sounds like someone has been watching Heroes too much.
