Stratovarius Community

Hello Everybody! I have just joined this forum, because the official homepage is not so telling these days. No tour dates, no date of release of the new album, and me and my many friends and a lot more people in Hungary can't wait to see a live Strato show again in Hungary, not to mention a new album. Is there any problem within the band?

In fact, he is very busy these days since he is recording his new solo project "Saana, the Warrior of Light" and the next Stratovarius album.

I am not sure if he is doing all that at the same time, but it seems that it will all come out in 2008. He also promised a Big World tour in 2008 (or maybe 2009?) I'm not sure of that.

By the way, welcome on this forum.

I would say we have to wait first the release of Tolkki´s Saana rock opera.

Beast Pete do you know attila? I hear quite alot of males in Hungary are named Attila because Hungary historically looks upon Attila the Hun as a hero.

Hungarian is supposed to be related to Finnish, both are Finno-Ugric languages.

Hmm, I never was one of the sceptic or pessimistic ones, but these days I somehow doubt that Strato will really come back. I don't know, it's just a feeling... I hope the best, at least one last and strong output. But we will see...

Like I said, I think the keyword is the TT´s opera and it´s forthcoming success...

I'm not such an old StratoFan. I first heard their music about 2000. There are people on this forum who have known Strato's music for much longer than that!

Hello Everybody! I agree with all those who suspect something negative around or inside the band. The reason for this is they don't release any information on the homepage, and looking at this forum the only thing we can see is Timo Tolkki's new project, but nothing about Stratovarius. I think it would be wise of the band to let people know some current information on the webpage, may it be anything. We all want Strato to return, don't we? Please note that I don't have any problem in connection with Timo's new project, I'm sure that will be pretty good!

I have been on this site for a while and the updates comes
not regulary I am sure it will be some updates to christmas
and maybe some clips.

I am sure it will be great and I am looking forward to see them
live 2008!!!

I think simply crossing our fingers would do more good than prayer at this point!
Let's just hope the album doesn't follow the way of the DVD that was put off&put off, and put off, and delayed and so on, and so on, and on............until it was cancelled.

i think the guys are a bit busy with his projects, and tobias sammet is taking the whole scene of metal to himself ....haha, not really .... i think the stratovarius die - hard fans will be there forever, but the recent ones may lost interest if the band doesnt produce anything or create something that may interest their audience.

Hello, I'm new here. I just want to say that for me Strato is silent now because it will come back with a great surprise. I think (and hope) that Stratovarius will rock the metal for more time(mostly because I've known them since last year and I want to spend a lot of time with them!)

Of course, real fans will be fans even if the band doesn't peblish enything for 20 years. However my opinion is that we, the fans would deserve to get some prediction about the future of the band.

Of course yes! I'm still waiting for a new message on the site... but is it just me or the webmaster has disappeared?

It's sad. The latest news on strato.com is from summer 2007 (almost half a year), and also nothing new on their myspace-page since almost one year. Yes I know, Tolkki is working on his Metal Opera, but nevertheless, at least a word to the fans would be nice. Seems like Stratovarius don't have such a priority at the moment...
