Iron Maiden's fate will come to Stratovarius too?

After messing with the vocalist Iron Maiden started to sound boring to me, and I suppose that will be Stratovarius' fate too. Both have soiled their image irrecoverably. People are now outgrown of Stratovarius and the band has too from the band's mindset (like Maiden). The bands find it impossible and uninspiring to write about things that interested them long time ago and what made them popular. The fans are not interested about middle aged men's ponderings, but are longing for something more energetic. But those bands are forever haunted and depressed by their dark past... which leads to their ultimate demise...

And iron maidens stadium tours in the USA and all over the world, something stratovarius has not been able to do. I’m having a hard time understanding this as the lyric contact of the last iron maiden albums has had the same substance as the rest of their stuff. Any continuing stratovarius will be with new songwriters and a new producer and have huge differences because the rest of the guys were not going in the same direction that the songwriter from stratovarius is going in. from everything that the songwriter of stratovarius says it seems this move is best for everyone and will get both groups writing stuff more to their liking

At least Iron Maiden managed to put out good music with Blaze Bayley.
See: Futureal.

As far as Iron Maiden is concerned, I wouldn't talk about "being depressed", or "haunted". They made mistakes, imo their 90s albums are not the best, but they survived.
And I don't find Dickinson boring at all, it's just that their material should have that little touch that made their albums so special. (SSOASS, TNOTB, etc etc.) Brave New World has it, in my opinion, A Matter of life and Death doesn't. But it's not a reason, I think, to compare them to what happens with Stratovarius.
And for Stratovarius...I don't think we can tell what will happen, how it will happen, we just should let them make new stuff, then we'll see.

Oh yeah, Maiden seems to be doing really badly these days.
Every over 15-20 years old band has gone through a hard period.

Maiden badly? am I missing something. I normally don’t compare bands commercially because I think that’s bullshit to do that but maiden is headlining huge tours across the world right now and selling thousands of tickets in markets that stratovarius has never done as well commercially.

You're missing something. Something we call sarcasm.
Of course I know Maiden is huuuuge these days. And their last album is still awesome.

I dunno, I really enjoy their last 3 albums, especially Dance of Death. Paschendale is one of my all-time favourite Iron Maiden songs. Plus there's as much interest in them as there's always been.

Paschendale is also one of my favourites from Maiden. F00king epic. But it's really the only song with Rainmaker that I really like from Dance Of Death. Brave New World and Matter Of Life And Death are much better in my opinion.

All I know is that I cannot remember single song from Maiden's last three albums because they are so heavy as sin both lyrically and musically, just like the black album. Of course being heavy should be good in heavy music..
edit: sorry, United is a great song from Strato's last album - any others are too heavy and dark

IMO Brave New World is amazing, Dance of Death good, and A Matter of Life and Death disappointing.
I hope they have something good coming!

My thoughts exactly.
I don't see Maiden ending up like Stratovarius at all. Anyone who's seen Iron Maiden on the Somewhere Back In Time Tour will agree, I'm sure.

You can't compare those situations. As great as Stratovarius was while they existed, as disillusioning is the situation now. Tolkki will continue making music on his own - though after all the confusion and mess with the Stratovarius split, giving away rights, then again stating to make one last album with an old lineup, failed publications like with Saana, etc etc etc also tihs might end up worse than we may expect - and the other guys, too. There will be nothing left of Stratovarius then their legacy. And at this point I see not a single chance for some kind of continuation or reunion of the band. And really, it's better this way.
Or let's put it this way, more simple: Iron Maiden is still existing and active. Stratovarius will not. I'm not sad about that anymore. It's simply a pitty that it had to end like this.

Stratovarius will live on, in any case, through their past music.
Last night I was watching Infinite Visions&had the volume turned up EXTREMELY loud during Infinity&the 5 videos at the end.
This morning I was in my garden&my neighbor(a young woman in her 20s)approached me, and said,"My husband and I were siting outside last night&heard your music. It sounded really good. What band was that?"
"Stratovarius"I answered.
A smile crossed her face&she said,"I've heard about them on the net. They're the group that fights alot." I told her that hopefully the fights were over since the guitarist had left. "Thats good," she replied. She then said she'd like to buy one of the albums with the songs she heard playing, but did not want to chance a download.
I told her that Infinite, Visions, Episode, and Destiny were the best bets, but 4th Dimension was good, too. I ran into the house&got my Metal Disc catalog, and gave it to her. It has all the Stratovarius main studio albums. She was proud of that&said she'd probably order a couple. I also told her she was welcome to borrow Infinite Visions and all of my StratoCDs to tape them if she liked, and she said she just might do that next week.

Her husband&she likes metal music that is not hardened&gross, but softer&with more meaning. Thats how she put it.
So, no matter what happens, Stratovarius will live on because its the music, in the end, that matters.

Speaking of Hardened and Gross Metal, I Haven't been able to stop playing In Flame's "Soundtrack to your Escape" album for like 3 days.
I diverted slightly into Helloween's The Dark Ride, but now it's back to Soundtrack.

Damn... the set list on that tour was awesome. You're lucky!
I saw them in 2003 with Dio and Motorhead, and it was amazing, but I think Bruce is singing even better now!

I also think that both maiden and stratovarius are excellent bands in fact you've named my two favorite one's, in regards to albums I don't think either band is capable of making bad music.
I will admit there are some albums I listen to more then others but overall I like them all.
You gotta admit they are both still head and shoulders over the so-called screamo bands these days.

Oh yeah!
It was for The Early Days, with Within Temptation starting the show (they were ok, I'm not a fan, and then Dream Theater following (awesome!), and finally the masters!
