Stratovarius Community

I went to see the new Nightwish here. in Rio de Janeiro...

It was a fucking great show...^^

I read that Jens played together with Nightwish in USA, well, I want to make this doubt...XD

What could be the possibility when Stratovarius play in Brazil (please Rio de Janeiro), to play with Nightwish, or wih Tuomas?

I loved early Nightwish, but to me, Nightwish is dead now. I'm no Tarja lover, but the new singer is a joke, she just can't sing most of the Nightwish classics, and she blows the ones she tries to sing.

To me, that move was as fucked up as TT trying to replace TK with Ms. K. Seriously.

I'm hoping Stratovarius will play in Sao Paulo and Rio at least. I'll try to make it to both concerts.

I'm with Icecab on this one.

Annette Olzen has a different voice from Tarja but I don't think she sucks.

To me it's like comparing Andi Deris to Michael Kiske, both are really great they just have different voices.

in this case I think it's all a matter of preference

Jens played with Nightwish many times here in NYC (I only saw one of those shows though)

He just did a guest solo I think (which song was it?)

Maybe Jens can refresh my memory!!

That live song is even on one of their singles I think.

I wouldn't make the same comparison at all. For Helloween, you're right, it's a matter of taste, both have a great voice, they're just different.
But for Nightwish (I'm not a fan at all, even with Tarja), I mean, Tarja had a charisma, a recognizable-between-thousands-voice, whereas Anette is just an annoying Abba-fan-pop-singer (note: I have nothing against Abba or against pop)

Awesome photos! I think you could take a little credit for the awesomeness of the Finns, afterall you are at least one of Janne's inspirations Is there any footage of the Symphony of Destrution cover with Nightwish? I would love to see that!

Carrying on with spam: I saw Nightwish this year with Sonata Arctica, not much of a Nighwish fan, but that new singer could sing and I gotta give them some respect for their unique sound! Sonata of course was flawless; they played White Pearls, Black Oceans!

And I agree the comparision between Anette - Tarja and Deris - Kiske,
they are great with different voices...^^

And with certain, Strato will do very big shows in the future, I believe that, and anyone here believe that too (I think)...
