Mataias Kupainen isn't listed on PRS' artists roster!
I'm sure they'll change that ASAP when Strato hit the road though

He's not on the list because I don't think he's actually endorsed by them, just seriously in love with his PRS
An endorsement may materialise when they start touring, it might not, it depends whether PRS are aware of him and his close relationship with his PRS or not

Seriously,
Mataus The Wrathcaster would make a great guitar endorsement.

Like I said, it depends whether they're aware of him or not. I know unsigned bands with more endorsements than they know what to do with, but I also know very sucessful bands who haven't got major endorsements because the campanies involved just aren't aware of them

True. For example, our drummer is endorsed by Pearl, and no-one knows us

I'm not endorsed by any guitar company at the moment. PRS (and lots of others too) offered an endorsment to me last year but I refused. They can't deliver a guitar with all my needs in reasonable costs (yes, if you're in PRS's artist roster, you still have to pay for the stuff).

Don't you get at least a big discount? I know it's that way with Warwick, you get 50% off if you're on the artist roster (along with free maintainence).
What would be your dream guitar then? (within reasonable costs :p )

That's crap.
I did wonder though - they seem to have half the music industry on their roster, and they'd be taking some spectacular losses if all of them were getting freebies.

Well I hope that "the dream guitar" is coming in few months from a little custom shop Ruokangas in Hyvinkää, Finland. It will have some cool features like a midi, floyd, custom mics, True Temperament neck....veryvery cool stuff

Is
this the place ? Great site! I love the video blog, The Unicorn Project, where he documents the building of a guitar. Check it out people - very interesting (and it's in English!

If this is the place, is the model you're having customized on the site?

Awwwwwwwwesome. Loved the custom guitar. I'd definitely prefer one of those if I had the money and the skills. Better keep on singing and playing keyboards....

But they'd have to come with long blond hair and an everlasting jug of coffee.
Otherwise you wouldn't get the full experience

So will PRS guitars be the guitar sound of stratovarius now? I' just wondering a bit about how much the band is going to stay true to original tones during live performance and if the guitar on the cd will have a comletly different tone and feeling than stratovarius has ever used.?

to noxica:nah he can just get him a line of blonde wigs and coffee mugs along with his guitar endorsement.
To Icecab21:chances are the sound is going to be somewhat different anyways, just like when any other band changes a guitarist the sound is a bit different yet it will still have the sound that defines the band.
