Please, the album artwork HAS TO BE done by this guy...The Infinite/Elements work are too good. Extremely Epic with big and heavy Strato influence.
That will be fantastic...

I'd lean towards Mattias Norén. I love that guy's work so much, I've actually bought prints from him and hung them through out my house. I'd love to see what he'd come up with.

After his really good Infinte-Artwork he made those cheesy Intermission- and Elements-Covers. And that rendering-stuff looks so damn artifical. No, I think it's time for something really new.

You know, by 2003 it seems to me that a lot of album cover artists gave computer imagery a shot. Take a look at Iron Maiden's Dance Of Death cover, for example, it blows!

I'm ok with the Elements cover though. But yea, I don't understand why people bother with computer graphics, hand drawn stuff is still much better for these guys cause that's what they're used to work with.

By the way, one of the ugliest album covers in my collection is Dragonforce's UItimate Beatdown's. What the hell is going on with that weird ass cyberpunk chick?

How does it work, I mean, do the artists listen to the albums before creating this stuff? Does the band give the artist some guidelines on what they want to see on the cover and how it's supposed to look like?

Just request that riggs hand draw it and to tell you the truth I really didn't have a problem with digital art covers, IMO they are different but I don't think they are bad.

If Riggs does the artworks he should do hand drawings. I don't like the Elements and Intermissin covers.

Listen to this man. I think most of Derek Riggs' album arts are terrible.

I'd prefer hand-drawn or a photograph as the album cover.

How about John Avon?

I think it should be Toxicangel who made covers to Sonata Arctica, Kotipelto (at least Serenity) Kiuas and many others.

Toxicangel and Riggs both were too busy!

Did Riggs do the VISIONS cover? It was the coolest......

Infinite was very good(IMO), too.
And, I liked the simple gold fleur-de-lys of the black album--very unique.

I'm sure the cover will be nice&eyecatching.

Nope. Riggs did Infinite, Elements I & II and Intermission.

Come on Jens, we want something! Cover, song, solo, something to listen/look at. When the album will be released? There are rumours that it'll be released before the first gigs in UK, is that true?
