The music sounds nice. :)
But I don't have anything with the voice of Gus. I don't know what it is. I just don't really like it.

I think he sounded way better on the demos than on those 2 songs.

I completely disagree, I like Gus voice a lot, and I like the song A LOT. I hope the same will happen to me with the new Stratovarius, I'm sure.

I have no words. I can't describe what I'm feeling right now while listening to the song cause it's something I thought it was lost.

I found it.

Now I feel it again. Thank you Timo.

The song is better than Age of Aquarius, but I don't think it is too great. It is good, but nothing special. Boring compared to the sound snippets from the Strato video.

For me its not boring, its amazing, and the strato video and sound too. I can't compare cause it's different. I'm not gonna lose my time comparing. I like all that I'm listening. So, IM REALLY HAPPY.

Age Of Aquarius was a little let-down, but this sounds awesome.

Great songs, even if it seems from these 2 AoA clips music is taking a different musical direction form old stratovarius.

I hope in the cd tracklist will be some power metal songs too..

Best,
Simone

It's such an amazing song. It is absolutely perfect. There is a lot of energy. It's been a while I haven't listened to such a moving song. The atmosphere is great, so are the lyrics, the voice and everything. The darker it is, the more I love it.
Incredible, I am speechless, I have no words.

Why the ""??
This is Stratovarius. There is no real or fake Stratovarius. What happend was a Line-Up change. This is still Stratovarius, with ot without Tolkki.

quite honestly I am disappointed. Gus seems to have a really weak voice and the music doesnt sound all that inspired, based on Lauri's new video i have to say new Strato blows away the new RR

Just listened to both songs for the first time now, and I personally found them very boring. I don't like the singer either. Good voice, but no feeling at all.

I can make a Timo Tolkki joke out of the title of that song.
I can do it!!!

....

"Ghost of Fallen Grace"? The only thing which "fell" was Timo Tolkki himself, once his chair collapsed under the weight of his massive, sagging posterior.

....wait, i'm missing something...I know what it is...

He must have sustained quite an injury from that fall! Luckily the Saana Foundation will help him overcome this psychological trauma.

No, I will not lighten up, nor will I cease creating lame jokes about Timo. Its late, I'm swamped with work, low on pudding and fresh out of hand sanitizer. My mood is as sour as the stale, rotting "Odwalla" juice I am currently ingesting. These few wisecracks are all I have left.

Great melody, nice, powerful epic feeling that has become a sort of signature sound for Tolkki. As for Gus's vocals, they sounded a bit raw in the intro, like he was going for an earthy, emotional vein, but then in the rest of the song, he sounds strong and melodic. HOWEVER, the mixing seems a tad off to me. Like the vocals are sitting on top of this grand, powerful music, but are not a part of it. Like they are in conflict. Seems to weaken both. Does that make any sense? Perhaps someone with better production knowledge than I could explain that better. Or perhaps I just need some decongestant and another cup of coffee.

Anyway, very beautiful, epic song, but for me, these are not the type of songs I listen to repeatedly. One listen, "Ah very nice," and done. I like the faster-paced stuff with intricate, startling guitar and keyboards. Looks like that's what we're getting with Stratovarius. Life is good all around!

I actually liked Age of Aquarius more than Ghost of Fallen Grace. Though both songs are great.

How Gus can sing, we will hear once they are touring. It is always different hearing someone live, that shows their real talent and what's inside them.

This song is so great, that I can't describe it in words! The harmony of the beautiful parts and the symphonic parts is something so great, what I can't describe in words. And the lyrics are great too. Gus's voice and the whole band sounds great. I just love that kind of symphonic and epic songs! I can't wait to hear the whole album! :)

This is some heavy stuff. I love it. It's atmospheric and really emotional music.

I know you guys probably won't believe this ... but I actually have the whole RR AoA album now and am listening to it, TT gave it to me last night .......... over dinner. The channels of communication are open and I think these stupid forum and internet and statement and legal fights the two bands have been having could very well be a thing of the past.

No doubt some people will be disappointed by that; after all, drama is more exciting than people who just quietly get along, but this stuff is sucking way too much energy from both bands.

Having a band as a rallying point is important to some people. If there is a conflict it probably gets even more titillating. I don't quite understand it myself.

I still maintain that for most normal listeners there is no downside with what happened the last year. There are now two bands and there will be twice as much music. Both bands will be different than "old stratovarius" and that's a beautiful thing.

I'm sorry about the hateful things I have said here and in other places about TT. My excuse: I am only human too, after all.

I'm not making some big deal about this, if you happen to find this post in this jungle, then you found it. After all me and TT just had some curry and talked for a few hours, but I am really happy about it anyway. He shouldn't waste his time shadow boxing in internet forums. And neither should I, come to think of it.

Never give up hope that there can be forgiveness and peace.

That's a good thing to hear. And as many fans and now you said it as well, there are two bands now, similar to old Stratovarius yet different in different ways and that's a good thing as both TT and you guys can freely change in the musical direction. I think Stratovarius started to become too one-sided. Now this has changed. And it's good there won't be any more fights.

Edit:

Of course. Or -- since it happened in real life and not on the Internet, and I thus couldn't take a screenshot, maybe by today's definition of reality, it didn't actually happen. Or perhaps I just dreamt it. Nonetheless, whatever happened, if less energy is wasted on fighting in the future I am happy about it.

Of course Jens! Now WE ALL are happy. You and Tolkki must be good friends. And you all must make good music as you are making. You are all great persons and the best musicians. It's beautiful to see you being friends again.

"pic or it didn't happen"

Well, to be honest who cares about people who might truely question you about it now? What matters is that everything's going into a better direction than in the past some months/years.
