I just started watching it. The music in the opening sounds epic.
Part I:
LOL! wilderness? Look out of the fucking window!
Who filmed this? It it is Tolkki, he sounds really creepy!
Okay, the song were you can see Bruno Druming sound cool but it is not Stratovarius at all. Sounds like some Alt. Metal Band to me a bit.
Timo Tolkki invisible drumming "Highway to Hell"
He looks soooooo out of place, sorry to say that, but from the looks he doesn't really fit in xD
"STOP WHINING BIG BABY!" XD Justin doing Arnold is awesome!
Justin doing the old man! Justin is just AWESOME!
The song that Tolkki plays after "Age of Aquarius" sounds cool.
Part II
"The Problem is: Everyone is fucking retarted in this Band!" LOL at the Intro!
Gus with beard? AWESOME! I love beards!
TOLKKI RUNNING WILD!
DID TOLKKI SHOW HIS PENIS TO GUS? WTF?
They're having a lot of Fun XD
YOGA
The first bits of the song that is played when Bruno plays Piano sound like it was written for a Harry Potter Soundtrack.
Part III
Epic guitar solo
Pretty Epic stuff.
They're really doing a video for this lame song?
Tolkki taking Mike from behind?
Wow...Tolkki is just standing there with no emotion at all and not moving anything ecxept his hands...lame...
This Chrildren of Future Song sounds awesome!
Decent stuff but I still like the stuff I've heard from the Strato Clip more.

I payed attention to the same thing. Maybe the documentaries were made on different places?

This is why I actually liked it very much. It sounds fresh. And I loved Age of Aquarius too. Looks like we're getting a lot of good music this year.

I also lol'd when they repeated "the problem is everyone is fucking retarded in this band"
How many times? Around 5, right?

Disappointed

After watching the documentary, I felt a little bit disappointed...
1. They seem to be gays (in every action) "nice ass" ?
2. The drummer can't stop copying Tommy Lee.
3. Was this (documentary) a response (copy) to the "works in progress" videos?
4. Is that Timo the angel, the peacemaker? mmm

I think I had another image, is sad to me
5. Sounds really like nothing to do with the old (great) stratovarius sound, completely different, 100% commercial to me. (I wish them good luck anyways)
Long live Stratovarius! Can't wait to see you guys live here in Toronto.
I really wish this new Stratovarius last for a long time, and never get a reunion of the old stratovarius (leaving Matias and the rest of RR to make a band together?). That would be so cruel to the fans. So...
LONG LIVE NEW STRATOVARIUS !!!!! POLARIS RULES !!!!!! YEAH !! CHEERS !!

Fine if you don't like them, but gay? Tommy Lee? Commercial? What the hell man?
I came when I heard the song at the beginning of part 1. Twice.

You don't have to agree, that's just my humble opinion.

Opinions vary...

They do that just for fun. Me and my friends do shit like this sometimes too.
3. Was this (documentary) a response (copy) to the "works in progress" videos?
A lot of Band do Videos like this. Primal Fear are currently doing videos like this. Thunderstone also do. Are they copying Strato too?
4. Is that Timo the angel, the peacemaker? mmm

I dunno what you mean. They're having some fun during recording.

Tolkki already said that this will not sound like Stratovarius. And I agree on the last part. Sounds like Evanescence to me.

First off let's remember this is a different band, quit comparing it to Strato.
Secondly the whole gay joke thing is funny, just like ragehead said I do the same thing with my friends.
Lastly I thought the documentary was actually pretty good, a little boring in some parts but it basically gives you the idea of how the process went with a little bit of harmless fun in between.

How is this documentary of the recording process that was recorded with high definition cameras during the recording of the album in 2008, similar /copy to the handheld video shoot documentary of a music video filmed in 2009?

My point is that people are nit picking this a little too much. All I see is a bunch of friends just having a few laughs during the recording process.

You are right. But this is a album with Timo Tolkki and the band he founded after leaving Stratovarius. He was the mastermind of the band and so it is natural that ppl compare RR to Stratovarius.

We want to have a bonus track with all members together sing: "The Problem is: Everyone is fucking retarted in this Band!" with some epic orchestration!

Won't your girlfriend get jealous?

Now she will play that documentary all the time for you if its that much an turn-on.

Not sure if my right hand has feelings. In that case she(?) might also be jealous to my left hand I sometimes cheat her(?) with.
To me it sounds like both progressiveish Polaris and symphonesque Age of Aquarius are going to rock more than anything Stratovarius did since Infinite.

True!

(Although I did enjoy the Elements albums also.

Especially Part I)

It's great to see (or actually hear) that after all this soap-opera Tolkki is again putting out some stunning material. Not to forget the other guys' effort. Especially Kyrie Eleision sent shivers oscillating back and forth my spine

this was even more than I expected. Imho tops Stratos new material easily. Though the comparison may not be fair cause I've only heard so short clips from their part

Like I said, for me it is the other way around. Some of the stuff sounds cool but the IMO the Strato material is easily better than this. Even that the Strato stuff is only like 5 minutes. I like the Power Metal stuff more than this ultra symohonic stuff. This is why I think Elements aren't that good.

There are at least as many opinions as there are people. I think both will be great. I won't judge further because I haven't heard neither of the albums yet

And besides these are very different albums.
I think that Elements-albums are almost my favourites I think

I do enjoy the others too though! Definitely! I think there never has been a bad Strato album. I haven't listened to Fright Night completely though. But I know that at least Goodbye is a very nice song!
