A ballbreaker

Post by Verdades Parias » Tue Apr 07, 2009 11:59 pm

Like we say in Argentina, "Soy un rompebolas" wich means "I'm a ballbreaker".
I'm going to pass out if i can't hear at least 2 minutes of another song of Polaris. I've already played the demo of lauri like 200 times and the W in P III, like another 100 more, can you put another sample please!!! I live in the fucking jungle here, we dont even have a record store here, REALLY! So please light my day, until i travel 500 km to Buenos Aires to get the CD

¡Qué putadón! But the album is not out yet.Don't worry, you don't have to drive 500km tomorrow, you'll have to next month! I'm joking.

Ahh, yes, the classical Argentinian "Rompebola". :D
Here's another one: "Eres mas puta que una araña"

My dad lived in Argentina for 7 years, so he knows a few slangs and tells it to me when he came back to Chile. Something you should know
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch?!

I love Chilean people also Mexican, I've lived there when I was a kid, I'm not really proud of the Argentinian human beings, always being so arrogant, but who cares, i'm not like that. That's why I loved the message of bands like Strato.

A chilean friends always tell this thing: "Ya metiste la cuchara al plato con caca"

In France, with the "Rock Hard" magazine, there is a sample-CD where you can listen to the whole "Higher We Go" song.

But the sample is only 1:40. You have the whole song. Would you mind sharing it with us?

And I can tell you it's awesome! :D

Morally, I don't know if it's ok to share the track...Maybe it'd be better to avoid leaks, but in the same time, I guess a lot of French speaking people bought this magazine, and I can imagine a lot of them did share the track... :?

Better to wait for Jens' approval IMO.

I don't think Jens can "approve" or "disapprove" this, there's a lot of legalese involved. And even if Jens approved it "morally", he can't or shouldn't assume that publicly, due to another set of reasons that are unknown to most of us.

Heck, if it depended on Jens, I'm pretty sure he would "approve" all means of distribution of his music. What musician wouldn't be pleased by that? But there's a lot involved, it's complicated.

Don't bother asking him for permission for stuff like that. No matter what your view on stuff like piracy is, my personal advice is to share good music among your close friends and spread the word about good bands. Leave sample publishing to the band and the record companies.

I'll be completely mum on the subject and just say that I'm listening to the song in its entirety right now. And it is fantastic.

Agree. Because everybody's shitting on your garden doesn't mean you have to do the same. But if I had received the promotional copy of the whole album, I would clearly answer "no" to every "Give it to me" question. But for a sample on a magazine, I clearly don't know if it's legal or not.

That's why I wanted to ask Jens, not necessarily for his "approval" but just because he may know the answer for that.

The music is in the hands of the record company right now, Jens doesn't really have any legal obligation to the music.

But when a magazine offers it, what happens from a legal point of view?
Anyway, Jens knows more than anyone of us about the legal aspect of Stratovarius, so I think we should let him tell us his point of view...
