I dunno. There were a few live concert recordings on the DVD. Maybe they'll release them as Bonus CD.

I actually have no idea!!

If I were product manager at Nuclear Blast I would put a good selection of tracks from the three albums we made with them. So, my guess is that it's tracks from Infinite and Elements 1/2, but I don't know and the web site gives no hint as to what material will be on there. I love all of those records so I guess they can't go wrong in a way.

Before someone complains about it, I anyway approve by default -- NB were our partners those years and I'm happy they are exploiting and spreading the material we gave them. It seems Episode/Visions/Destiny records are in some sort of catalog limbo at the moment, because Universal has been slow in managing the catalog they acquired from Sanctuary (which in its turn acquired those records from Noise).

I'll let you know if I find out what is on the CD! The customer (as always) has the choice if they want to buy or not.

I also (in contradiction to so many others), liked both Elements albums, so I hope what you say is true Jens, that would have been awesome :D
Can't wait to hear more about this :)

I am ready to bet that it's the Millions Lightyears Away single.
When the single came out, NR were selling that special "x-mas" package with the dvd, the single and the nice red xmas bag.

04. Visions
05. 4.000 Rainy Nights
05. Black Diamond

I think it is Finnish for sensitive ballad called jens johansson goes into the womans sauna and has the biggest hairiest balls there.

It's actually a quite interesting song. I didn't know it until today, either, just let google find it for you..

Karjalan kunnailla is a traditional Finnish song. A live recording of it plays on the Infinite Visions during the closing credits. Personally, I don't really care for this particular rendition as Kotipelto struggles to stay on tune. It's a nice little curiosity though, I guess.

Could it be that the "official Bootleg" CD just contains audio tracks from that DVD?
If I remember right, Infinite Vision comprises all those live videos/tracks that are in "official bootleg" CD.

But that doesn't make sense to me because if you buy Infinite Visions DVD you automatically have those those song in DVD format.

But on the CD you don't need to skip around that much, and there's no need to rip the whole DVD just to put a single song on your MP3-player or to burn it on CD. Just think of Nightwish's End of an Era and Sonata Arcticas Sake of Revenge, which were both released in a special CD/DVD pack, so that you can listen to the concert in your car without having to convert the DVD-tracks.

That's true. But I mean Both Nightwish's and Sonata's live records are recorded and produced with professionals so they sounds awesome. But most of the songs, included in that Stratovarius bootleg cd, have very bad audio quality. I think that re-mastering those songs to high quality audio would be impossible task because some of the songs were recorded home video cameras. I personally wouldn't like to listen those song for instance in my car because of the poor audio quality :)
And can NB present whole songs? For example, We hold the key is cut before the actual end of the song.

i think the "Official bootleg" is only cut the dvd audio parts and then take them together ...

in other case, is probably one show with this setlist? :S
a little rare, will be from infinite tour?

anyway... more things of strato is good for me :D

I bought this and cd has this tracks :

1. I Surrender (live) taken from Intermission
2. Hunting High And Low (live) from Intermission
3. Forever (live) from I walk to my own song-single
4. Black Diamond (live) from I walk to my own song-single
5. Phoenix (live) from A million Light Years Away-single
6. Infinity (live)from A million Light Years Away-single
7. Freedom (demo) from Intermission special edition
8. Neonlight Child (demo)from Intermission special edition
9. Hunting High And Low (demo) from Hunting High And Low single
10. Millenium (demo) from Hunting High And Low single
11. Eagleheart (demo) from Eagleheart single

Infinite Visions dvd is nice as always (upgraded my vhs-version) but nothing new in extra cd. Already have those singles and special editions. . . But cd+dvd at price of cd was nice though.

I bought this a couple of days ago in Bremen, Germany (nice trip, btw). It had the same tracks as mentioned above. I think it's an OK re-release now that Stratovarius is "officially back".

I'm going to call Metal Disc later in the week and see if they have it, or if they can order it for me. Videotapes are kinda passe now, and DVDs last longer, so I need to get a disc version of IV. My tape of IV is still in great condition, though. Which reminds me I have not watched it in awhile. Maybe I will do that today! :)
