Hy guys,

I last found the old demos from the RR album played by Stratovarius (so with Kotipelto too, of course). How did this guy get a copy from this? I thought it wasn't released, so what's happened there?

Didn't you know that they were leaked? I have them for about a year now. They sound nice for demo's.

Well, according to both TK and TT they where rushed, improvised and really just steam of mind so I guess it is okay. But yes, they're funny.

The two versions of Last Night sound excellent for completely different reasons. I like the verses in TK's version but prefer the chorus in the Kiske version.

And then to make it weirder, I prefer the Wacken 2007 intro version over the album version. Just how many versions of the damn song are there?

There are 4 versions
2006 R...R... Demo Version wit Kotipelto
2007 Wacken Live Version with Kotipelto
2008 New Era Version with Michael Kiske
2008 Internet Demo Version with Gus Monsanto

By "Two" I meant the Kiske and TK versions. I suppose I should have counted the Wacken one and I didn't know about the Gus one.

I think in late 2008 RR released a few recorded Demos of Songs as free downloads on their website. They have a very good quality. The songs were Heros, Last Night on Earth, I did it My Way (New Era/R...R... Demos Songs), Hunting High and Low, We Hold the Key (Stratovarius Cover), Icarus and Loneliness of 1000 years (new Songs). Plus you can download the new Songs Age of Aquarius and Ghost of Fallen Grace for free.

I just discovered the RR demos with TK on vocals and...wow. Even though it's a demo its very well produced and TK really shines on these songs. Glorious Divine, OMG what a performance, he wipes the floor with both Kiske and Sammet.

I think the production of the vocals is also very well handled, nice reverb and overal feel. Well done TT.

Shame it never got to become a Stratovarius album.
