New web design

Post by JensJohansson » Fri May 15, 2009 9:21 pm

The stratovarius.com web design has been updated. Also there are a few of the Polaris songs streaming in low quality if you haven't heard the album yet and are curious as to what it sounds like.

I just finished the programming stuff, and regarding the content it's still a bit of a work in progress but I think the design (made by Jan Yrlund) is pretty awesome!

The old site will still be archived at http://old.stratovarius.com/ and some of that content could eventually be moved.

Cheers from backstage in Wolverhampton where Firewind are getting ready to hit the stage!

Nice design. Clean, crisp and very fast loading. Oh, and no page breaking.

Times New Roman not the best choice for a default font IMO

Enjoy the concert Jens!

I don't think so either, but there were so many other things with the database stuff to fix first. I think I will change it later. Have to run to stage soon now though.

Maybe Dungeon or Visitor -BRK- will work better with the site theme :D but Visitor is a small font that looks good only at 10pt.
You do that later I know you will make a good choice for now enjoy the first concert of the gig!! :D :D :D

That's very cool, great to see the page themed towards the new album.

Also, having the gig dates on the main page is great, the old page was very dated and difficult to find any information from. :)

Btw Jens, have all the winners of the UK tour competition already been contacted?
