What is your first Stratovarius album what have you listened? Visions is mine, but i found Stratovarius only at 2005

I listened Destiny first,it was great

Strange, polaris didn't come there :O Why? i put it there but...

The firt I listened to was Infinite, but the first I bought was Polaris (yeah, I´m quite new into Stratovarius music )

first song was black diamond on a sampler cd, but on the cover it was called kiss of judas... then i got me the visions cd and was a little bit, ehm, surprised...

A very good friend put "Forever", "Season of change" and "Celestial dream" in a tape knowing they were a MUST according to my musical taste. That was back in 1999.
After listening I went straight to the store to buy "Infinite" and so on.

Visions somewhen in 2004.

Fourth Dimension, it was... haha, look at that, exactly 6 years ago (last 10 days of May I can't remember anymore)

I was a HUGE children of bodom fan and Janne mentioned Visions album one day. I think this was right in between when Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper came out so it was between 99-01 So I downloaded some songs, didn't even like it at first because it was too expressive and didn't like the "real" singing. After a while, I gathered the courage to say that I actually like this and I don't care if other people don't like it or think the vocals are "gay". I think it was the first time I listened to and liked a band without any outside influence. I ordered Episode, Visions, Destiny, Fourth Dimension all at once off of fleabay. I've grown up a lot in many different ways since then and now they are my favorite band of all time.

Elements Part 1.

I was in London in 2005 and was picking up a few CD's of bands I wanted to check out. I did'nt know which Stratovarius album to get, so I went for the one which had the best artwork in my opinion.

Visions of Europe! Back in 1998, when my father put it in the radio.
Have been addicted to Strato-music ever since then.

Elements Pt 1. I heard Janne from Bodom playing a medley and one bit in particular caught my attention. A few questions later and I found it was a song called Eagleheart. It's still my favourite Strato song.

I prefer the other thread, that one's got Polaris as an option

Infinite. I heard Infinity somewhere and was absolutely blown away and had to find out more about this band!

the first complete album I listened was Infinite, but I knew about Stratovarius whit "stratosphere" and "speed of light"

You forget put the vision of europe in the list it was the first stratovarius album I listened. After this maybe was the Infinite I don't remember well.

I heard "Black Diamond" in Finnish chart program in -97, and bought the "Visions" the very day it was published.

A friend of mine convinced me to listen to Black Diamond back then, I think it was 2004! I'm so glad he did that!

Two Pölls for the same questions

I have to say Fourth Dimension because Against the Wind was the first Stratovarius song I heard! However, in terms of CDs, INFINITE was the first complete StratoAlbum I listened to.

Elements part 1 is the first what I listened, but Polaris is the first what I have my own. I think Polaris is the best album!!

Infinite was the first album I got, purely because I'd heard Stratovarius were a cool band. I was like 'wow, this stuff is great'.

My friend then lent me Episode. I was like 'HOLY SHIT THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING' and have been hooked ever since

4th Dimension

Destiny was the one I bought first, but I think I had heard more from Elements pt1.

Anyway I had heard lots of stuff before I bought any of the albums.

Mine would be Elements Part 1.
The first song would be Hunting High And Low.

Fright Night Didn't like this album but after the song The Kiss of Judas i became obsessed with Stratovarius

Destiny. I think it was around 2000, when I also became a Maiden fan. Shortly after that I bought Infinite and Brave New World

But well, I came to it by Black Diamond, a "Visions" song, but the first full album was Stratovarius
