I mean just one. Come on, you can do it. You're a professional musician and all.

Many good players are not good composers :) And composing is not the thing for all musicians. Not all are blessed with the gift. I don't know about Jörg though!

Jorg calls himself a 'non-writer', according to Jens' interview. I guess he just likes turning up and playing the drums!

Give him a 30 seconds long song then.

Or simply a drums solo. Why not?!

Jörgi is a beast. He plays like no other in the world. More than a style, he IS a beating heart.

Of course it would be so great to hear a song composed by him. Those who know him better think there would be a chance?

At least it would be great to know if he participates in the discussions, arrangements and the process of creation. Any particular part of a song from Polaris was modified after Jörg's idea?

I'm sure Jorg could write a good song if he wants to! He has traveled the world, met thousands of people, has children, so he could come up with lots of inspirations for lyrics. :)

I think I only want hear a song made by him if it is good.
So he should write one for test and if others like it then we have a song ready for next album!

Hasn't Jorg spent most of his career as a session musician? By and large, they don't compose, they just turn up, lay down some tracks and walk off to go find other heads to crush. This is why Gene Hoglan is a god on the drums.

Hey it's possible, look what happened with Nicko Mcbrain, it took a long time but he finally co-wrote a a song on the dance of death album.

Maybe one day we will see a song written by Jorgi

Nope. Jörg has played full-time in many bands (Rage, Running Wild, Grave Digger, Axel Rudi Pell....).

I agree. And the title should be "Invisible Drumkit".

Technically, Gene is the same (Dark Angel, Strapping Young Lad) but he's still on tons of albums. Hell, Jens is (was?) the same.

Also, I'm all for a bonus Strato track called Invisible Drumkit.

Hmm

Does anyone remember Beyond The Realms Of Death by Priest?

The song is attributed as written by Les Binks the drummer at the time. All he did was pick up a guitar and play THAT riff. He did not compose the solos or the arrangements or vocals. They paid homage to the riff.

Now if Jorg can do something like that.........

He is an amazing percussionist fair dues.

Can he - he can do of course he can - it depends if stratovarius will do something on credits like Priest did!

Good point, definitely a very good idea. Jorg, pick up a guitar and play something

Another idea... Maybe this song can have a drum solo in the middle of it? like "moby dick thing" or so?

 cheeeeeeeeeeeeerz !

Jorg is not lazy he has to go out of his comfort zone to compose!

If he can play the basics on a guitar then maybe a priest classic beater is there!

Some people just don't like to compose songs, my brother is practicing to be a guitar player and he hates to write.

Well, I actually don't know if Jorg plays any other instrument, but it should not be very easy for a drummer to compose a song... (yep, PC programs make miracles indeed)

On the other hand, composing can't be at order... We cannot ask Jorg to compose anything if he is not in the mood to do that...

He is a fantastic and talented musician, but that doesn't mean he has to be a composer also...

That can change. I used to call myself a non-drinker. :D

Anyway I was only half-serious with the thread. :) I know it may be difficult for a drummer to compose if he only plays the drums, but some lyrics by Jörg would be nice to see...

The chorus should be something like
"I'm feeling goooooood cause I have beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!"
