Hi there, does anybody know why does this mean?
I didn't know anything about it, what is this about? Does he changed his name? I mean like Yngwie, or many artists?
Any info. will be highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot my friends...
This is what I found...
"Jörg Michael Born 27 March 1963.
Jörg Michael performs as Gordon Perkins"

Mekong delta
Oh... Now I know why (I guess), it's because of the band "Mekong Delta" isn't it?
I've researched more and I found this...
"Mekong Delta" (wikipedia)
All participants assumed artist names and the line-up of the debut album looked like this:
Björn Eklund (real name Ralf Hubert) on Bass/Acoustic guitar
Gordon Perkins (real name Jörg Michael) on Drums/Percussion
Rolf Stein (real name Frank Fricke) on Guitar/Backing vocals
Vincent St. Johns (real name Reiner Kelch) on Guitar/Backing vocals
Keil (real name Wolfgang Borgmann) on Vocals/Stick
Source... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mekong_Delta_(band)
This is kind of rare to me hehehe, anyway, I didn't know about it. Cheers and have a great day.

Yeah. For what reason ever the guys from Meakong Delta decided to not use their real names for the band and everyone came up with a pseudonym. I dunno why they did it.

I don't know, let's ask Fenriz why they did that in Darkthrone!Ragehead91 wrote:Yeah. For what reason ever the guys from Meakong Delta decided to not use their real names for the band and everyone came up with a pseudonym. I dunno why they did it.

Re: Gordon Perkins = Jorg Michael?
And Michael is not even his real surname
Many musicians I know use pseudonyms, for many reasons: just for fun, or because of label's restrictions. If you have an exclusive contract, which states that you cannot play with other bands or release any other record, and you want to play or record with other people, you can't use your real name... Of course, people know, but that's an easy way out :wink
But I think he only can answer this...

Re: Gordon Perkins = Jorg Michael?
At the beginning, Mekong Delta was a very mysterious band, and the members didn't really want to be recognized. That's why they took pseudonyms, so people don't know who they are.
