The most tedious song on the Album IMO.

No way!
Along with Deep Unknown, the 2 best songs in the album.
Btw... I hope Sonata's new album is good... blogs say is slow and not as complicated as UNIA... so, where's the fun?
We'll have to wait...

Also, now that makes Strato and Sonata even xD
Do you remember Kotipelto at the end of False News Travel Fast from that amazing "Silence" album? xD

In My Opinion it is together with those 2 horrid ballads that are "When Mountains Fall" and "Somehow Precious" and that completley unnecessary Emancipation Suite Part II-

Why? This is my opinion! Winter Skies is just a tedious and slow song which I automaticly skip when I listen to the album. "When Mountains Fall" tries desperately to be the 2nd "Forever" but fails horribly, "Somehow Precious" is just a lame, standard Power Ballad and Emancipation suite Part II is completley unnecessary, adds nothing to the good first part and only seems to be there because the band wanted to have yet ANOTHER slow, baladic songs. Like we really need another balladic song after we already have like 3. Sorry, but apart from "Forever", "The Land of Ice and Snow" and "Will My Sould Ever Rest in Piece" I don't really like any of the ballads Stratovarius has released.

Not slow. No fats PM doesn't mean it will be slow. It just won't have double bass on every other song like they used to.
Yet it will be like one step backwards from Unia towards the older stuff and at the same time something totally new too.

Tommy (the Drummer) said that the album reminds him of Silence so I have high hopes.

Emancipation Pt. II is the best performance Matias makes on the album

In your opinion maybe. Not in mine. I just think it is unnecessary.

And I again, simply just love both Emancipation Suite I and II
(Especially part II, there's just something about it) ;)

Without different opinions the world would be boring...

Ragehead:it's cool with me if you don't like it, however I thought Winter Skies was actually one of their better ballads, as good as Mother Gaia in my opinion. However as I said your opinion is cool with me as well, I will not contest it.

I guess you are talking about "peace" and not "piece" ? :)

I think Tony Kakko is in the backing vocals 'choir'.

And Winter Skies is an amazing song.

I disagree, but this is your opinion. Winter Skies is one of my favorite songs from this album, but we can't all like the same things

Yes, I agree here, I think When Mountains Fall is boring, same with Somehow Precious and only one Emancipation Suite could have been enough.

My opinion is that Emancipation suite should have been in one piece.
(Although I kind of understand why it's divided. I just think it would have sounded better and more "whole" as one piece).

Well in a way it's already like one track, cause it moves right from one track into the other and you can't even tell that it's switched to the next song so it ends up feeling like one big song.

The boring part is mainly ES Pt. 2.
