Montreal gig, 20th september

Post by doc_holliday » Tue Sep 22, 2009 12:02 am

It was my second time I saw Stratovarius in Montreal. It was totally awesome. I didn't really like the opening bands(Pagan's Mind was one of them), but I totally enjoyed Stratovarius. I can't describe the feeling I had. especially during Destiny and Black Diamond. Also, I trashed a little during High and Low.

I was the weird guy with construction ear plugs(i wear those cause I don't wanna destroy my ears), did you notice Timo?

I forget to say that Higher We Go is not actually on the setlist for the North American tour. They don't played it in Quebec, at the Meet and greet in Montreal i asked Mathias, and they added it to the Setlist! :) i was happy. ahahh

i was there, and i was the one with the finnish flag ^^

i think that 3 warming up band were a little too much. i liked pagan's mind, but the 2 before them were ... not good.

i really did enjoyed strato though (:

I was at the meet and greet too :)
And the show was amazing!!!

however....
I can't help but wonder if alot of people got screwed over because of ticketpro, since apparently they announced the meet was AFTER the show.....

i'm not rich enough for the meet n greet. or else I surely would've bought it. If I had the money, i'd go to every show on the tour. how was it? what happens in the meet n greet? where do u see them? etc

i didn't like pagan's mind. I even went in the back and sat on a chair. I kinda liked 2 or 3 songs a little from the other 2 bands tho

the meet and greet is AFTER or BEFORE the show?

Was my third time seeing them here, and as usual I was at my spot right on the left side of the stage (basically leaning on the stage) taking pictures. I was kinda pissed at the fact that there would be 3 bands opening (which would mean the show would end when the last metros would be passing) but luckily we made the before last metro and got home !!

The show was awesome as usual, and even more awesome because they played Forever is Today :).

yeah id go to every show on the tour aswell lol!
For the meet n greet, they basically called in the VIPs before the doors officially opened and the band was at the merch table signing posters and then they took pictures with the fans and left. Standard meet n greet. They were really nice, by far the coolest band I've met! I just wish there would've been a bit more time to talk to them....oh well next time ;)

As for Pagan's Mind, I actually liked their set....but there was a problem with the singer's mic....the guy has a powerful voice but you couldn't hear him half the time....which says alot lol

I noticed the same thing at the NYC show. I said to my girlfriend, "I wish the singer's mic was louder". I wanted to hear more of his voice in the music cause it seemed like he had quite a set of pipes.

No, I was with my friend (who was a guy)...no other chick around. I was leaning on the speakers next to the man in the wheelchair. Sucks those girls left before the end though, but it's understandable :P

I think i saw you (I was near the center of the stage, so you probably didn't see me).

But yeah, sucks that they left. Who knows what happened?

Yea, most of mine are blurry, but thanks to photoshop and being able to sharpen images, a lot of them look better :)

I took a lot of pictures as well.

I most likely should be in the crowd photos (since I was front row :P). Gotta love photoshop though ;)

Ha! I just found out that you guys went to the concert in Montreal... I was there too. I didn't like Pagan's Mind, but I love Forgotten Tales.

Dear stealth,
I just had a talk with Pagan (I actually dialed your 1-800 number but you didn't pick up this time!?). Anyway, he says he doesn't like your mind either.
PS: how do you love tales if you can't even remember them

Best wishes,
AAAAAAAAAA
