TIMO TOLKKI's 'Return To Dreamspace' Delayed Until Next Spring - Oct. 9, 2009
Former STRATOVARIUS leader and current REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE mainman Timo Tolkki recently teamed up with fellow ex-STRATOVARIUS members Tuomo Lassila (drums), Anti Ikonen (keyboards) and Jari Kainulainen (current member of EVERGREY) to record a new album, titled "Return To Dreamspace". This means that the project's lineup is exactly the same as the one that recorded STRATOVARIUS' "Dreamspace" LP, originally released in 1994.

For legal reasons, the band's original name — PROJECT STRATO — had to be scrapped, although the album itself will still be called "Return To Dreamspace". 20 songs have been written for the project, including "Return to Dreamspace", "Digital Jesus", "Santiago", "Chevaliers De Sangreal", "Full Circle" and "Farewell No. 2". A spring 2010 release via JVC in Japan and Scarlet Records in Europe is expected.

Has anyone tried to interview the drummer or the keyboardist about this album?

Well, I guess we will just have to wait alittle while longer.

So, will Kuoppis be playing the drums this time as well and only credit of it going to Lassila?

What was it with Lassila not playing the original Dreamspace drums? Did he hurt himself so that he couldn't or something else?

Sami Kuoppamäki - session drums on songs 3, 4, 6, 7 and 13
Tuomo played on the album.

Hope this album will release soon, although not a huuuuuuuge admirer. But I think (like most of you) that "Dreamspace" is a trully masterpiece, and it should be treated with respect.
Anyway, but as it was said by many others, I think it's not going to be probable to happen (not saying it's impossible, just doubting...)

I think Return to Dreamspace is nothing but sensationalized tripe. There's no way the original feeling or sound can be recreated; its just another worthless dramatization. What's next...Visions Pt. 2? He should just stick to RR...AoA was actually a pretty good album*!
