Forever followed by 4000 Rainy Nights is wonderful.

Just a quick little thought on this; Forever came on my playlist, and 4000 Rainy Nights came on right after it. Forever is always excellent to hear, but 4000 Rainy Nights seems to keep the melancholy tone while picking the speed up a bit, and wow, it's just awesome.
Anybody else want to listen to those back-to-back and share their thoughts?

Well, I always use conditioner
AFTER shampoo; the effect is really gone if you soak your head in cod liver oil in between. :cyclop:

4000 rainy nights is one of stratovarius best melodies for me.

Seems like a good idea, there are lots of possibilities like this, don't remember any right now though.

I don't absolutely understand general euphoria about 4000 rainy nights.... it's good, very good song, but for me Years go by is better.....

Sounds awesome as those two songs are incredible.
400 Rainy Nights is such a great song but all that other great stuff on Destiny really makes you forget it even exists.

I can't think of any great "Strato shuffles" right now, except that A Drop in the Ocean into Alpha & Omega is gapless (no shit it is?

)
Speaking of gapless, Jean Sibelius - Finlandia straight into Testament - The Persecuted Won't Forget (my version of Finlandia was gapless in the end and Persecuted is gapless from the beginning so...) was sure something.

It's posts like these which remind me why I forgive you for the rest of the collective.

If you want a good song pair flowing to each other thats got to be Kiuas songs Race With The FalconsFlowing into the North Star Cried.
Guitar squeek switches straight into violins (or whatever strings they are) and it flows really well between those two.

This reminds me of the time when I heard this new song...
It seemed like such a random mess of noise. It sounded like utter garbage to me. I kept listening though, because I was totally baffled at what these guys were thinking when they wrote it. The music defied my every assumption, shattered my every expectation. It was mind boggling.
After a few minutes, I realized what I was listening to was not one song, but two. One coming from windows media player, the other on a youtube video I left playing in the background. True story!

Not that "4000 Rainy Nights" isn't good, I just say you could pick another song to play along with "Forever", like "Celestial Dream"
Anyway, back to "a pair of songs that sound great", I'm listening Metallica - S&M (CD 2), and about finishing it, and I can say that the last 4 songs are really kick-ass for a loooong suite that blow your mind:
Sad But True - One - Enter Sandman - Blackened :headbang:

4000 nights has one of my favorite guitar tracks ever. i think its pretty much the essence of melodic metal and a sum of what melodic guitar tracks are all about.

Agreed. Feeling in that guitar track is beyond belief... One of my many, many Strato favorites, that song.
Btw, just found out that Rage Against the Machine - Voice of the Voiceless into Gorillaz - Clint Eastwood is kewly gapless as well.

Those are about the only rap songs I think that still are brilliant music as well.
Never even heard of that Metallica "suite" by the way, if it even exists on purpose. Gotta try it!

<EDIT> Ah, it was not about studio versions intertwining into each other. Crap.

It is one of those songs you love at the beginning and then get bored of.
