4 days on a cruise ship in the Caribbean with Stratovarius and 39 other bands and all that in January... that's a great idea!!!

There are some more bands confirmed already:

Amon Amarth
Death Angel
Epica
Finntroll
Moonspell
Obituary
Raven
Saxon
Sodom
Sonata Arcitca
Stratovarius
Swashbuckle
Testament
Trouble
Uli Jon Roth
Witchburner

It's a Royal Carribbean ship.

Link to the official Triton Power Cruise Discussion Board

"TexasBeth" is the nickname of Beth Mays, the Triton Power Cruise's promoter. If you have questions about the cruise and arrangements, you can ask her directly on the board or use PM .

This is not the same cruise!!!

The Triton Power Cruise... ha!

The big difference is that 70000tons of METAL is an all ship event. 100% only METAL. No regular cruise guests or bullshit like this.

The Triton Cruise is just a group that shares the ship with regular cruise guests like families, retired people etc. zzzzz... Have fun... :D :D :D

I would totally try and go to this if I lived in Florida.

Let me ask this though, what kind of average metal head has a minimum $900 to spend on a four day cruise in a months notice? I wish this thing to succeed, but I don't know one friend that has that kind of money in their bank account let alone for a metal cruise...

True it is in a year, enough time for me to save up for it.... I think! ... I hope >.<

Would anyone else be embarrassed to tell their friends they were going on a cruise called "7000 Tons of Metal"? Its cheesier than an enchilada. And, come to think of it, much more expensive, though not nearly as fattening. :repuke:

well, at least the people in europe have a very cheap dollar at the moment... and more than a year to look for a cheap flight...

Well, we have a travel company in Russia, which offers a trip to WAO2010 (via Sweden & Finland) that costs about 1000$... and... I hope I'll find the money...
so, 900$ to cruise in the Caribbean with your idols - is quite realistic :)

Oops! There's another metalcruise departing from Florida in 2011  :P My mistake. While this news was about Strato attending on a metal cruise I automatically thought it was the Triton Power Cruise and didn't bother to re-check the website.
