Well, this topic is to talk a little about little mistakes you did in the past, mostly when you were starting to know Strato. That, or only I will look like the only idiot Dx...
Well, my story goes like this:
I was surfing on Sonata Arctica's web and I was short of time. I wanted to impress my brother with a new metal song, because I was just playing too much sonata, so I went to look in Tony Kakko's profile, and he had in "Bands I like - Stratovarius"
So I searched "Stratovarius" in YouTube, and the first video was Black Diamond. I liked it and downloaded it... but for some reason I thought that Koti was Jens... I mean, I though Koti was the singer and the keyboard player xD... also I thought he was the mastermind of the band, and I lived in that misake for some months, but when I realized about the truth, I felt like an idiot xDDD....

You must have mixed him with Tony Kakko (well both are T.K)
And BTWit feels weird to see people call TK "Home"

The first time I "officially" started listening to Strato songs, a friend of mine gave me 3 CDs with random songs, but there were no titles. So I figured out some of the lyrics, and by listening to the chorus many times I tried to predict the song's names. Boy I was stupid!. "Hands Of Time" was "Father Time" to me, and "Glory Of Paradise" was "Eagleheart"

I do this with a lot of bands, I always had trouble differentiating Koti's singing from Tolkki's. (To the point that I didn't know there were 2 singers).
Even when I realized, I had trouble with 4th dimension because I always thought 030366 was Tolkki singing

yea I thought it was the same singer for all stratovarius albums too.

I initially downloaded lots of songs tagged as Stratovarius songs that were really TT songs from Classical Variations and Themes (great album, btw), such as Greensleeves, Lord Of The Rings.

Most of the mess ups I have made with band line ups were previous to my learning about Stratovarius, Once I got into High School I was adamant that I learn band line ups and history because I would make mistakes like that and make a complete ass out of myself.
One that stands out was when I had heard Iron maiden for the first time, I would see band photographs and I thought Steve Harris was Bruce Dickinson and Vice Versa.

I downloaded a song called "Where dragons fly" also tagged as Stratovarius.. until I listened to it, I could easly hear it was Rhapsody.

Isn't there also a Dragonforce B-Side with the same name?

Same problem with the singers for me. When I first started listening to Stratovarius, Eternity was my favorite song, and for some reason (can't remember why) I thought Timo Tolkki was the singer, even though he didn't sing Eternity. I also thought he was this plump, bald guy for some odd reason, and that's who I pictured singing Eternity.
Imagine my surprise when I found out who the real singer of the band was.

That happens to me every single time I start listening to a new band. Doesn't happen to you that you imagine a whole band in a different way they really are? For example, when I started listening to Dream Theater and heard "Caught In A Web", it seemed to me that LaBrie was some sort of bald guy similar to Halford

Haha so true, it happens to me all the time. The first time I watched a video of Mob Rules live I was like what the heck... Falconer surprised me too.

the worst offenders are early 70s Black Sabbath, especially Ozzy.

When I was a wee lad, I thought that Stratovarius and Sonata Arctica were the same band... I don't even know, today, how I thought they were.

First time listening to Hunting i kind of misheard some parts but only one that i vividly remember is:
How it goes: Feel the freedom of body and mind
How i heard: Feel the freedom of birdie and sky
